I'd be careful with such statements. If his console is xbox then it'll be hard to top the size of controllers alone.the_one_54321 wrote...

Who wants higher resolution when you can use a higher inch-olution?
The other problem with PC games is they require so many buttons, a game should use no more than 8 buttons before you reach the critical mass of confusion.

Anyway, back OT.
Remove gear! Remove inventories! Bioware made the game, they should assign all of that stuff.
There should be 4 buttons: weak kick, strong kick, weak punch, strong punch
Doing them in series of combos you should be able to pull of unbelievable moves.
The other things Bioware should look at is removing the map, after I beat a boss I don't want to have to "run" back to town. It should warp me there, like ME2.
Sigh ... still a ways to go for DA, but we'll get there. Bioware wants God of War revenue, and I want more God of War.
Combo's? You mean I have to memorize a series of button presses? I just want to hit a button (a single button) and "awesome stuff happens" . Just say no to combo's!!

As a casual gamer they need to keep the game accesable to me. Memorizing a series of combo's greatly impedes my enjoyment of the game. As a casual gamer I am far to dumb to be able to figure out things like this. Just ask any EA marketing rep, they'll set you straight.

OK, a compromise: 1 click I-win buttons, but if you want to add a few extra button mashings you do some super move like a decapitation.
That way the dumb can just win, and the semi-dumb (me) can watch heads explode.
Back OT: remove all gear, and anything vaguelly RPG-ish
ME2 was so close to perfect, the only thing that killed it were the cutscenes and the limited ammo.

I still think dialogue should be removed, at least PC intervention into it.

But it's unfair to deny the dumb glee of exploding heads. That's why i endorse approach of both Fallout and DA -- they don't put IQ threshold on decapitations.haberman13 wrote...

My dream game, thanks for the link Upsetting ... but when does it come out?
And here I thought MW2 and GoW were the pinnacle of gaming.
If Bioware only knew how much money they were losing by appealing to you people.
When the brahs and I are drunk all we talk about is how headshots are awesome. Unfortunately dumb PC gamers still want other stuff... I just don't get it.

OK, I obviously agree, but still you would want the fluff right?
I'm thinking Bioware just removes the "nerdy" stuff, like lore/gear/inventory/story/choice/map
The only thing DA2 should be is waves of enemies, a 1 click win button, and the option for decapitation when button mashing.

I rest my case. Whats funny is I didn't even need to state my case at all. Anytime someone objects now to the term dumbing down for the console users, I'm just going to quote this post.

Why am I happy about the change in companion armor?
Because I want my companions' look to be unique and reflect their personality.
I thought Subject Zero's costume in ME 2 was impractical and ugly, but it also was awesome in that it expressed in a strong and distinct way who she was. Dressing her in light armor 325 would be a shame.
I am more than willing to let go of a gameplay element I'm not that fond of (inventory management) for narrative reasons.
Unfortunately thats an element other people like, its not like people wear the same clothing every single day just to project their personality.
