well if you got the collectors edition in the UK you don't even get the helm, Way to make someone feel 2nd rate.

idk there are a lot of items that don't match their picture like the Cheese Knife! lol. I admit it is cheap but I'm fine as long as they don't make it a habit like Oblivion every rare weapon was just a regular weapon with an enchantment & a fancy name.
Like i said before games are not what they used to be & as gamers we better get used to getting screwed by developers. I'm sure them knowing 1/3 of their profits will be lost to piracy doesn't help motivate them to give a crap about PC.

game.co.uk website clearly states that Bergen's honor is included with the game. If this isn't the case then the ripoff is more serious than I originally thought.

It's nothing to do with second rate, different regions and different retailers get different things.
I hear that BioWare wasn't exactly pleased with EA's ceaseless exclusivity deals so they have no real reason to put effort into it.
If you want to blame anyone, blame EA's profiteering.

LOL, why would you pay for a "bonus" item that a lot of people got for free (and it was made for that reason) via "special" deal like being part a PC gamer magazine or such. (where my two special item codes came from)
Why pay for a solo item without playing game first to see if it is even needed... helpful... or just a bonus free thing that isn't...

I'm not really pissed because BioWare reused an item model. I'm pissed because BioWare reused an item model that doesn't fit, when one that clearly fits(DUTY), wasn't used.

So much whine. What are you, 12?

I'm not even gonna bother answering that. The thing is you're the weird one. You're coming into a thread that anyone with half a brain can tell is a rant... repeatedly? Seriously. If you don't like it, don't read it, don't post. You obviously read it, because you know it's whining.
Maybe there would be little to no whining if the game's "collector's items" were more than just lazy stat changes of an item that doesn't fit.

lol. Cry a little and get over it. Dont use it if you are so upset by it. You got plenty of other items with the CE. BFD, so the model was the same for the helmet as for another in game. It isnt worth getting so upset over.

Is it bad that I use a tier 2 heavy helm instead of it or the blood dragon helm? Can't turn down +2 to all stats and only ~.75 armor less than Bergen's Helm

This one thinks that the point of this forum's goal is not to be used as a place to rant, but to exchange in the intellectual pursuit of playing DA.
I personally do think that Shallyah's point does hold true. Why are you ranting over an item? Think of Bioware as a single entity made up of hundreds, if not thousands of people. And everyone knows the universal law concerning said people.
"everyone makes mistakes" for example; Bioware may not have made the best discision for using the same item skin for a bonus item. Same as it was not the best decision for you to post the original topic. Likewise it is not the best decision for people to even have replied to you (this one included)
But this one should also bring up that this is not the only item that is like that. The longbow called "spear thrower" looks IDENTICAL to the longbow "darkspawn longbow"
You have two choices (th3warr1or):
1.) accept it for what it is. Realize that if you did buy the CE hopefully it wasnt for the items, because ive found better, and move on, playing arguably the best RPG since FFX.
-or-
2.) download the toolset and re-skin to your hearts content.

Hey, I didn't buy the Bregens Honor yet, but according to the stats screen it has better values than even the Dragon Armor. It even has a different requirement (str 42 instead of 38). So: Maybe it looks similar, but at least in my game it is not.

When I finally decided to get it for my warrior I was pleasantly surprised it didn't have silly wings on it. You can download a mod to change it to look like the icon if you really care so much.

Personally, if you like duty use the effort armor (which my warrior used full-time after getting it, I love how it looks). Unless you decided to kill dog, or never accept dog into your party which means you can never get duty lol.

Someone call the ****ing Whaaaaaa-mbulance. Honestly with the amount of whining that goes on in this forum I'm surprised these people get out of bed in the morning and don't just lay in it complaining how cold their floor is.

Yeah, it really stinks that they use the skin for the 'Duty' helmet to advertise Bergen's Honour, but use a basic Templar helm skin for it in-game.
If you're playing the PC version, you can use this mod to reskin Bergen's Honour with the more appropriate Duty skin. If you're on a console... all I can offer are my apologies and hopes that they'll slip this into a patch themselves.

So if someone sells you a CHICKEN Burger for 4bucks, and then gives you a Chicken Sandwich, it's your fault right?

I really back up your point, it simply in visual context the helm does not fit in most of the armor´s except the templar and kinda BDM. Getting 50% of the item for any angle you see it: is difficult not complaint and in essence that´s point of this topic.
Hope for a patch or console mod Bioware is possible ps3 Unreal III pass through something similar

Its sad that most items don´t have the same "looks" comparing the merchant icon with the item itself in game, Bergens is just well a rushed job too, they just needed to skin the duty helm and they didn´t even bother yet, pfff... sad.
