Invalid Character & Custom classes

I am trying to test my custom classes but the game won't let me play them without SoZ (Invalid Character warning). I am sure I have not used a single icon, script, texture or a file of any kind introduced by SoZ, so this seems to be an Engine issue.

Anyone knows how to turn this validation off?

I bought SoZ today online and it won't be here for about a week or more, so I can't buy/install SoZ right now.

You need SOZ or it has issues, hopefully if we get a 1.24 it will address it.



Most custom content people have decided not to support the game without both expansions, it's good to have all those extra icons, textures, skeletons, and models in your toolkit, and i just could not live without it.

I asked this same question back before we moved boards, and I've seen at least 3 different people asking the same thing since, but there's (unsurprisingly) been no official word on it. It seems like, unless you have SoZ installed, you can use only one custom class (which must be placed at line 254 in the classes.2da file). Kinda stinks, since I'm pretty sure you could have custom classes before the game got patched, but there it is. As pain says, we can hope for it to be fixed in the next patch if we ever get it.

Yes would like to scrap the invalid character warning entirely.



The validity check has a lot of issues and for the most part has to be removed, however i think they have a allowed list of 2da rows in classes.2da if you don't have expansions, instead of leaving the area above padding unrestricted. I imagine 254 was probably just luck for us. ( since it's basically at the cap anyway. )



I think this is only doable via something like the client extension short of a new patch. ( I don't want to get around the level cap if you don't have expansions, however if you have SOZ and MOTB i'd like the cap to be removed and only limited by 2da's or bugs, if they were to keep selling the game i bet they'd get a few more converts due to levels alone, already have a workaround planned for the BAB issues )
