I just got to Redcliffe today, and after missing the bonus in Village(Night) I am looking for the best staff in the game to equip Wynne. I just turned level 10 in the Warden's Keep, and after getting some nice items for morrigan, Alistair and my main, im left searching for the best healer staff in the game for Wynne, or a Spirit Healer in general.
What staff do you use for Wynne,
or what is the best staff for a spirit healer in the game?
Best Staff for Mage Healer?

This one is tough to answer w/o Spoilers. You may wish to check the DAO Wiki for Staves, or ask in another forum. Sorry.

I don't think this spoils anything by asking a question about the best stave. Personaly for me, the one Wynne is already equipped with is pretty good anyway. But, yes, do check out the Wiki.

Staff of the Magister Lord found from the quartermaster in Circle Tower is probably your best staff for any mage, in my opinion (that is if you're not solely using elemental magic as your main offense). +6 Willpower, +4 Mana Regen in combat, +6 Spellpower; and +10 Fire and Spirit Damage (so it's also good for when you're using either Fire or Spirit) but the other stats on this staff alone outweigh just about any other staff I've seen in the game. (This is no including DLC content)
Only problem is that it's pricey at about 129g. But well worth the investment if you're looking for a very beefy mage staff.
If you can't get that staff, I suggest making her secondary spec Arcane Warrior, and give her Spellweaver and a shield with +Stamina, Willpower, or Stam Regen stats. Stamina does convert to Mana for Arcane Warriors, which makes things easier in terms of gear exchange and such; however I do believe there is a sort of ratio for the conversion. (e.i. 1:1 stam: mana/willpower; but I'm not sure on that)
Here are some of my suggestions for Arcane Warrior shields (names are hyperlinked to their associated DA wiki page):
(Non-DLC Content related)
- Eamon's Shield +6 Defense; +25 Stam
- Redcliffe Elite Shield (the initial stats are lower than Eamon's Shield, but it's decent for basic fights or until you can find something better.)
- Dead Coat of Arms +1/+2 Stam Regen bonus
- Fade Wall +1/+2 Stam Regen; +25 Stam (this is one of the best shields in the game; good for any tank, and probably any Arcane Warrior) (Read up on how to obtain this shield. It's not difficult, just tedious)
- Duncan's Shield +Stam Regen; + Willpower (this shield shares the same stats as the one dropped from Sophia Dryden in the Warden's Keep DLC)
(DLC Content related)
- Warden Tower Shield - (Same stats as the aformentioned Duncan's Shield) (Rare drop from Sophia Dryden)
- Cailen's Arms (Sword and Shield combo) - suggested by the DA wiki site to be ideal for an Arcane Warrior/Healer mainly because of the Stam Regen set-bonus that surpasses many other sword/shield combos. +6.5 Stam Regen in Combat; along with various stats that help when your getting nicked at by mobs and don't take you down too quickly before your tank can pull them off you)
For certain boss fights that I felt required more focus on healing the party and not just contributing to DPS, I chose the staff over the Sword/Shield combo for my "combat healer" spec'd Wynne (Spirit Healer/ Arcane Warrior) with Wade's Superior Dragonskin Armor and the staff. With that staff she can back up any group with ease. Then again I was playing on Normal at the time.
I hope this helps anyone.

As mentioned, Staff of the Magister Lords is the best in the game by far. But it is very expensive.
The next best thing is a staff called Winter's Breath. It doesn't have any spirit bonuses, but provides a good boost to spellpower and is only about 25% of the cost of Staff of the Magister Lords. It can be found at the magic shop in Denerim Market District, or obtained free in the Soldier's Peak DLC.

It helps to save money prior to reaching the circle tower so you can buy the Staff of the Magister Lord when you first get there. The boosts to willpower and spellpower are nice, but I like the mana regen boost most.
If you have Warden's Keep (dlc), then you get a free version of Winter's Breath, though with slightly different stats than the store-bought version.
With my arcane warrior, he dual wields Duncan's Sword (+2/4 mana regen), and The Rose's Thorn. No need for shields here. The extra offense goes well with the nearly impregnable defenses that arcane warriors have and makes them less reliant on spells for offense.
