On the squad official profiles, it lists ages for everyone, but since Garrus and Legion are classified, it doesn't list his. Anyone know how old he is? Was just curious, he seems mid-late twenties to me.

Before ME2 was released, Garrus' writer said that Garrus was a "young, brash officer" and that he was "definitely under 30." So at most he's 31.

Turians live about the same length as humans. The devs said a while back that they haven't made any mention of turian lifespan because it is not dramatically longer or shorter than that of humans.

My first thought would be that Garrus is younger than Shepard, given all the times Wrex calls him "kid" in ME1. Then again, Wrex was several centuries older than both of them.

Could be the same age as Shepard, perhaps one or two years younger than him/her, given thier 'shared' (and I use that term lightly) lifespan.

34.

Im pretty sure someone in the Garrus thread broke it down somwhere. I remember 34 but could be wrong. He's definitely in his early 30's though. I think in human-years. Was never specified.

I actually doubt that Garrus is in his 30's, based upon what Garrus' writer said.

27-29, since Shepard is 29-32, depending on whether you count her time dead or not. ;)

You could have asked this in the Garrus thread, btw.

The fact that Garrus sees Shepard as a bit of a role model leads me to belive he is a few years younger. So I would say mid to late twenties.

@Silater: I could have, but it is easier to get the answer I am looking for with the information I am looking for in the thread name.

I always assumed he was younger than Shepard, not as young as Tali. He really doesn't come off like he's in his thirties, either. I was hoping there was an officially confirmed age. Ah well.

Nope, just the obsessed fans' best guess.

I'd say he's younger than Shepard. Definitely not older than her.

Don't you have to be in your 30's to leave the turian military though?

That depends on if C-Sec is considered "leaving."

Within Canon, we know they start official training at 15, do 15 years of military service. That give us at least 30. Also, we know Garrus mentions in ME1 that he used to work in the lower wards before he got his current position, which implies either a proficiency for the work (though without tact, it would be hard to move up in ANY police organization) or a few years under his belt.

We also know that turian lifespans are comparable to human, and that both his parents are still alive, so that implies that he couldn't be more then 40 or so, probably closer to mid-30's.

As to the dev's statment?  Well, we know Bioware has been inconsistent before.  I stand by my nums, I think.  :D

Garrus is younger than Shep for sure. I would guess mid twenties, maybe 25 or so at the time of the SM.

I'm actually inclined to believe this person. Think about it, we have new information and evidence that Bioware isn't above calling someone young even when they aren't. I'm thinking Kaiden/Kaidan in the PS3 preview thing.

Also, just because a writer says it doesn't mean it's true. What's true is what's in the game not what a writer for the game says.

And if turians do serve fifteen years in the military and are recruited at fifteen then he is no less than 30. Unless of course they are using Palaven time and not Galactic Standard.
