I recently found a way that made absolutely no sense at all. She never died before I got Zaeed and Kasumi. I picked her for absolutely nothing, and she died holding the line while I was fighting the baby terminator with Grunt and Zaeed. I don't get it...

Easiest way would be just don't get her loyalty and bring her on the reaper larva fight.

As has been said in this topic, if you take Grunt and Zaeed out of the HtL lineup your pretty much ensuring a death of someone. If Miranda happens to be your only non-loyal squadmate, then she'll be first in line for the chop in this instance.Knickerus wrote...

With everyone recruited and everyone alive at the end, this is how it could be if Miranda was not loyal even with Garrus on HtL duty... for this purpose we'll say you sent Mordin as escort
Garrus, Jacob, Thane, Samara, Legion, Tali, Jack, Kasumi, Miranda = 16pts/9 squadmates=1.7 = 1 squad death... Miranda being unloyal dies.

The best way is still doing mirandas missions for the upgrades and then side with jack.And then take the her to the terminator.

Eeeeexactly.
Don't miss out on doing Miri's loyalty mission! You can get a nice wad of credits along with extra experience points/upgrades! Just let Jack & Miranda duke it out, side with Jack and presto. Miranda is not loyal, you have more cash/upgrades, take her with you to fight the terminator and she will die in the end!

Only way I know of on how to finish her off while still doing her loyalty mission is to leave her behind to guard the rear door. As she is a squishy if you don't leave all that many soldier characters behind she could die depending on how far down the list she goes - its well known that Mordin is the first to go if there aren't enough soldier types to protect him during that fight.
So either skip her loyalty mission and get her killed during the reaper fight or get her killed during the rear guard part of the suicide mission (however that will definitely lead to other squadmates getting killed).
In fact the more I think about it its harder to kill her than it was Ashley or Kaidan in ME1. In fact the only other character in the entire ME squads who is harder to kill off than her would be Liara who you simply can't kill.
This makes me happy :-)

Guys the easiest way to kill off any character is to just bring them unloyal to the final battle against the human reaper. Thats the only part of the SM where the sole factor determining who survives is loyalty.

If Miranda is anything in the 3rd game like she is in this game then anyone who kills her off is gonna regret it.
btw the voice actor for Miranda ( who is a blonde ) is in the TV show "Chuck" and her character on that show is using a black wig in the next episode, so you can see Miranda for real.

I doubt it.I only use her on freedoms progress and her loyality mission on insanity where i dont have other choices. Its not like Mass Effect 2 is a hard game at all. Her passive bonus is overrated and there are a lot squadmembers that strip defenses far better.
Garrus is better against shields,mordin is better against armor,and kasumis shadowstrike is just effective against every defense. And there are also heavy weapons like the arc projector,making squadmembers with overload just redundant.

^ totally right.well thats what happen to me.i brought unloyal to the final fight with thane,they both died.i was happy to see miranda die(felt so good to see) i was sad that thane died though
And ironically wanting to see Miranda die meant that you died in the end as well. LOL
Nope i lived.just thane and miranda died at the end.when i took them to the final battle.actually everyone died but garrus,grunt,samara and my shepard

Not to necro a dead thread, but came across this on google with the same question, and figured I would answer
Personally, I kill Jacob too (both Cerberus agents). I kill Jacob in the vents, and then take Garrus & Thane to the final boss.
Assuming you didn't get the loyalty of Miranda and some other character who is ranked above her as a defender, (I chose Legion; could also be Samara, Garrus if left behind, Grunt, Thane, or Zaeed), she should die holding the line. That way you don't have to take her to the Final Boss (I know I don't....Much rather have Thane and my boy Garrus).

I have the same problem. This must be 5th time im replaying the end, trying to get Miranda killed. I havent do her loyalty mission, i tried not to purchase any enchantments to Normandy, but NO, everyone else will die, but she wont.
Anyway, ive had enough. Tho ill keep the save where everyone else but Jack survives... I hope there is option to simply execute Miranda (even) with paragon-shep in ME3...

Non loyal squadmates should be killed in the final boss fight. Easiest way AFAIK.
