I have a question, hopefully to head off any possible problems before they occur.  My mother recently purchased some Bioware points for me.  Not quite sure how this point system worked, she started an account and bought them with that, then gave me the account info.  I checked and they're in there, sitting pretty. 

That's well and good, but I wanted to make sure the stuff I download will actually run before I buy any, since that account doesn't have any games registered to it and my games are registered under a different account.  Will the things I download still work with my games (both ME2 and Dragon Age)?  Can/should I log in in the games under the points account to download stuff?  Will my previous DLC like the Cerberus network still work with the new DLC if I do that?

You need to purchase points with the same account that you have your games registered under. You can do this by scrolling over the 'Profile' button over on the left when logged into the proper account (I'm guessing this one, Honorable Ensign), and selecting "Add Bioware Points" in the drop down menu. You can then purchase whatever DLC you what for whichever game as long as you have enough points - then download each DLC. Also under 'Profile's drop down menu, there is another selection called "Your registered game promotions" - any DLC purchased or awarded should show up here (like the Cerberus Network bonus'). For ME2, you would need access that list to download the DLC and install manually like any other program, patch, or update. For DA:O, the DLC will appear on that same list, but you should be able to use an in-game menu after starting up the game (aptly titled Downloadable Content) to purchase any DLC - and it should automatically download and install any DLC you have.

The problem being - the points should be on the same account that you have the games registered on. Hopefully you have no yet bought any DLC with the 2nd account that has the points, but whether or not you did, I would suggest contacting EA support (pref. live chat) and explain your situation. They should be able to help you out - possibly transfer any DLC purchased or Bioware Points obtained from the 2nd account to your main account...good luck.

Thanks for your help. I talked to support and they were able to transfer the points over.
