Real life and a game are COMPLETELY different. Most times people I meet in real life aren't 10 hours away from death (like in a game).
Besides you're never going to see these characters after the series anyway so might as well have some go out with a bang.
Earth could get wiped on by an asteroid in the next 5 minutes also. What I'm saying is that it statistically unlikely. If most of the people I come into contact with are 20-30 then barring something unexpected they're probably going to be around awhile. While I admit it's possible my point is that it statistically unlikely.
