In this corner! From the town of Redcliffe comes Alistair, the wise-cracking Templar turned Grey Warden. He's wielding a classic sword and board combo.

Who wins this battle and why?

Well, Alistair would have to be quick. Really quick or he would end up a puddle on the ground.

Sten, because Alistair is too busy making pre-fight wise-cracks. Those are always a bad idea if your opponent doesn't go along with it.

Alistair is smart, but his anti-mage powers aren't going to do much for him in this fight.

He can use his champion abilities which should be helpful in combat, I will point out that is Sten is a reaver not all his powers will be useful. The power which gives a boost after killing an opponent would be useless, since he is just fighting Alistair.



Sten does massive damage, Alistair does moderate damage and absorbs massive damage. Shield stun is useful as well.

Well, they are both awesome, but Sten is stronger. Alistair might make some cracks about Stens face, but I don't think Sten will care all that much. I say Sten.

Sure, Sten hurts when he hits. But with a Shield and some bravado, Alistair can avoid taking a straight hit for quite some time. Then there's the fact that Alistair has access to several stuns form his shield while the Two-Handed tree is more focused on massive damage or AoE damage...

If this were to actually take place in the game : I would say they would have Alistair win.

Alistair probably only wins the 'highest drycleaner bill' award in that particular battle.
