Additionally, this should only be an option for LIs that are able to conceive children with Shepard. Ashley, Kaidan, Liara, etc would be able to do so. Thane, Tali, Garrus would not.

I'd love it if ME3 provided the option for Shepard to start a family with the player's LI of choice, and incorporate it into the romance epilogue. This should not occur prior to the defeat of the Reapers, however, as it would be wildly irresponsible to do so.

It's difficult to imagine Shepard able to have a child after dying. Sure the Lazarus Project brought him/her back, but just how far exactly? A great deal of Shepard's body has been replaced with artificial implants, and I'm not certain if they can salvage chromosomes for offspring.
Though there is cloning....
Well, there's always the options of artificial insemination or, if FemShep's insides have been too messed up, someone else carrying the kid. If they can bring a person back to life, I'm sure the technology to create sperm and egg cells from a person's standard set of chromosomes exists.
But personally, I'd rather this not be addressed in game. I tend to not like endings that give me the details of my protagonist's life, kids, sock color, and preferred breakfast cereal post-game. I prefer to fill in the details on my own and get an ending of the sort you got in DA:O--"And they lived happily ever after and led badass lives. The end."

This may sound rude, but people yearnig for a family and child for Shepard should go play Sims or something.

I thought zombies couldn't have children. >.>
Seriously though, no thank you. If there's one ending that irritates me beyond belief, it's Babies Ever After. Even Paragon Shepard would make a fairly ****ty parent, in my opinion, what with the bullheadedness and constantly having to save the galaxy. And stuff.
Plus there's the whole 'left in the cold' thing for those of us who didn't romance anyone, or who chose genetically-noncompatible love interests. And those who romanced humans (or Liara), but didn't want kids.
As has been stated above, I'd much, much rather have a 'rides off into the sunset' ending, where the player gets to decide for themself what happens next.
Not that I'd go and pitch a fit if the devs did impliment Shep-with-kids, mind you; it just isn't to my personal taste.

So sure, maybe Liara will store some of Sheps genetic information in order to produce a daughter, but Shep will be dead by the time that happens and wont be around to really experience it.

Remember that episode of FIrefly where Wash tells Zoey that it is a bad idea because of their line of work.
Wash was right and this is pretty much the exact same situation except with better medical facilities

I don't think babies should be popping out for Shepard (or out of Shepard as the case may be) in ME3. However I see no reason why there shouldn't be a possibility of offspring mentioned in ME3. Let's say half way through ME3 (depending on your romance options) your femme Shep finds out she's pregnant. I think it could add even more weight to the need to defeat the Reapers. It could just be one of the many outcomes depending on what you did in ME1 & 2. No big deal, but with all these romance options you'd think that at some point the potential of Shepard having offspring would be high.
Errrrrrrrrr............since we have Garrus, thane and Jacob on ME2 and 2 of them im not sure if they could help fem shep breed ..........that means we only got Jacob. i have the feeling 99% of the fem population here will definitely commit suicide before actually thinking of that option
