Is there any character who doesn't make 'plowing' references in every conversation they got? Or spend their first moments pointing out the town got a brothel because if so I like to meet them. Would be nice of the game didn't remind us they dare to have sex in their game all the time and did something else every now and then. This is just my first impression though but so far I think Obsidian handles mature themes a lot better in say Fallout New Vegas then the Witcher did in their prologue and beginning of first act.

Ok, I've finished the prologue and I think I'm getting better at the combat. Thanks for the tip Archaven, the Irden sign really helped! But for me at least there is clearly an issue/bug with blocking. I don't know about you guys, but there are some moments when Geralt just won't block! I keep pressing "E" and he won't do a thing! I have to change his position, do something else and blocking works again.
Also, the stealth part could get better polish and AI. It was so so, I expected better.
All the QTEs worked well, no problems with that. I should mention that the game has great pacing, the Prologue itself was amazing. I was excited the whole and the ending after the battle really delivered.
Stamina bar. Blocking and the signs are using it.
Then I think must...

Keep roling...

I bumped into a potential bug where if let go of someone in a certain place and they disappear despite the quest marker showing their last location.
I've never such amazing visuals short of a CGI film, gameplay is wicked and combat is frenetic ande very satisfying once you get your hand in! Loving it so far

This game really epitomizes everything that’s wrong with the direction that some companies are taking the RPG genre. The story is uninspired and fails to adequately motivate the player, the player character is also clichéd and dull with few interesting characteristics. It feels like the developers looked at all the great storytelling done over the years in RPGs like Baldur’s Gate or Dragon Age and threw it all away. One can only assume they expected their gameplay to make up for this shortcoming, but it fails to do so. The controls are awkward and feel despite being a PC exclusive, make it feel like a console port, which when laid on top of the already poor combat mechanics, make each fight feel like a grind. While interacting with other characters provides some relief from the worst of the gameplay the characters really don’t offer any depth, and seem to serve simply as a backdrop against which to put women who the player can interact with sexually, I suppose CD Projekt thought us nerds would pay for some pathetic dating simulator. There really is nothing to redeem this game, and if you are looking for an RPG to invest in you are probably better off with one of the other recent offerings such as Bioware’s Dragon Age 2.

I don't know about that one, but back when DA2 came out it was confirmed by EA/Bioware that they were real, official accounts. They defended their actions saying that "A president would vote for himself, so why can't we". And if you look at those accounts, they only vote on DA2 and TW2.
I have no doubt in my mind these are real accounts from real Bioware employees, as over the last year I've watched Bioware fall from one of the most respected developers of our time to just another lowlife publisher lapdog. It really is sad, but I think it shows the state their in right now that with all the negative press they've been recieving, they're only recourse is to try and lower other companies to their level.
They'll get theirs, I have no doubt.

if it's not fake, then it's pathetic, truly pathetic
Forget about all those BS, this is just fake to make Bioware look bad.
I should get mine (TW2) in a few hours or tomorrow, can't wait.
I hope the main quest will last as long as they stated on the web site (40 hours), with sub quest, it should be amazing playtime.

Dear Fans!
We ask for a little bit of your patience while we make some adjustments and optimizations to the servers hosting The Witcher 2.
Planned time of the downtime: 23:30
Planned downtime: 40 minutes
Problems that may occur:
- new users won't be able to register the game
- users won't be able to download the DLCs (lang packs, patch, addons)
Affected:
- all users
We apologize you for any inconvenience and will do our best to bring back the services working ASAP.
UPDATE - 00:16CET: We are currently moving over 1 million files to the new folders structure on the server which will speed up the filesystem a little bit. This takes longer than anticipated but we are working hard. BTW USA, how's the weather?
UPDATE - 00:39 CET: Thanks for the kind words! As for those less kind - please believe us that we are here not to spoil your experience with the game. In fact - if you already have registered the game you can play and the thing we are doing won't affect you. As for the rest - terribly sorry but please try to understand that this wait is just for us to provide a few fixes that will guarantee no downtimes in the future if more and more players will want to play the game.
UPDATE - 1:00 CET: Okay, we are almost done. Whew. Triss takes the shower, go look! And we are moving the files to the new structure. We need to recode them once again. We'll give you an estimate on the time required for the service to be brought back to life once we start the process. Hopefully this will take less than her make-up.
UPDATE - 1:34 CET: We are slowly opening the servers. We need to check if that works as planned. You may be able to register and start downloading the DLC but we also may disable them once again. BTW, which tune from the Witcher 2 OST is your favorite? Triss shouts: thanks for the patience guys! (and girls)
UPDATE - 1:48 CETAnd we're back. The servers are up. Thanks for your patience and terribly sorry for the delay in the delay - I herd that you like loops so I put a inifinite loop in your infinite loop so you can loop while you loop. Happy howling Witchers! Merigold? Where did that girl go...

Well if they are giving TW2 a zero that defeats the whole purpose doesn't it?
It means they hurting both Bioware and CDPR at the same time.

But in this case (fake DavidGaider account) I really really doubt that,
because reviews/accounts like this are doing more damage to Bioware than to The Witcher 2.
