Its a tad annoying they didn't bother to fix the save game "issue" from the first Witcher. There's no reason to stack quick saves! I doubt it will ever get resolved in a future patch though.

Oh, I don't know. It seems like CD Projekt Red cares more for good customer relations than BioWare does at the moment. So we might see that patched.

At least Quicksaves do not stack. They overwrite! It's the autosave which is eating space.

I know. I was referring to the fact that CD Projekt Red is giving out free DLC, all those shiny extras in the reg edition alone, and not to mention the quality of TW2. While BioWare gives us "Suck it up, princess!", and "I suggest they play on Hard!" So why wouödn't they wnat to adress the autosaves stacking?

@ CoS Yep. Agreed. I'll never give a game a 0 on metacritic, unless its daikatana like. I gave da2 a 4 / 10, because all the bad, piles of crap in it outweighed all the good parts. No game gets a 10 either. I gave TW2 9 / 10 so far.

@ringo

Maybe? I just wanted the cool things the $49.99 version came with. I lvoe that little metal coin, and oren from the game i think.

Its a crappy cell phone pic, but look at this! CONTENT!

EDIT: @ CoS Yep. You can craft weapons and armor. If you got the ingredients, coins, and find a merchant who can do it. The kayan is one of the monster quests, so loot! :)

Knew I should have gotten a boxed copy. Maybe I'll just go buy one to have a spare. CDP deserves it. This game.is alot of fun so far. For a DX9 game it's also very pretty. Thanks for the info about crafting too.

There are multiple ways of handling Malena's quest.

I saw this video on youtube and guy's loading times took quite long - twenty seconds or so. For me its like 5 seconds tops when I first run the game and then everything else loads super fast. I am loving their engine a lot so far. :happy:

I thought DAII loading times were quick (one of a few things good about it) but Witcher 2's loading times are a lot faster for me. Even when playing for extended hours and hours of time.

Also, loving the soundtrack. No big names or anything. Just pure love and enough time. DAII soundtrack reminds me a lot of New Vegas's. But I know why.

I started to run into a lot of choices in main quest. Seems really nice and also makes you question and even regret your decision. :( Dialogues, voice overs. Loving it all. This game is perfect for my specs.

True. Even if I slightly disagree with a few points, it is indeed a top review!

Not sure if this was posted here but anyway here it goes:

Actually Romantiq, Adam Skorupa is rather known in he's country. What I liked about he's first witcher tracks was that they were rather original. Most of the video game music is pretty sad actually, sure many love some of the melodies, but from a composing perspective they are something a student would compose, largely simple and unfinished. I write classical music so I tend to expect more from orchestration. Witcher 2 did a fine job, but at the same time the main themes are a bit Hollywood cliche(but it's well done). The smaller pieces are still pretty original however. Really I cant blame video game composers to much, often they only get two three days for a piece of music, there just is not time for experimentation or advanced harmony. Then there is the music directors who tell them to make it sound like a copy of so and so.

Yes it's quite relaxing, one of my favorites from the first along with this one from a tavern.

Oh btw did anyone do the quest where you go see the Flotsam town "sheriff" and leave your weapons at the door of he's compound? It was a cool little quest, except that I forgot to take my gear back after leaving late at night. I rummaged through some loot for a bit before I was jumped by three bounty hunters. Noticed I had no weapons on my back and frantically started sorting through my new loot hoping to find at least a rusty dagger. Found something I didn't expect in there, a shovel. I think it was 8-12 damage and comical enough, may try a broom next.

There should be a chest outside the compound(near those two guards) with all your weapons in it.

Yes I think I just clicked the guard and got it back, I simply forgot to take the gear back after leaving, however it ended up to be a fun little move.

LOL, same here. Though I must say, combat has really been improved from TW1. Even Normal difficulty presents a challenge.

I hate how PC gamers are hypocrites. Witcher 2 is "consolized" to death but you dont see the troll reviews on megacritics.

Normal is kicking my ass at times, dear :pinched:

@the troll above Ali's post.
There's a difference between streamlining done correctly, and consolfication (DA2). ME2 did a good job at streamlining, although I missed some of the rpg elements they took out, still a fun game.
