If you have atleast a dual core CPU, you can pick up a Geforce GTX 460 for really cheap (if your comp does PCI Express) And ram is cheap too, so add some extra!

Playing Witcher 2 on insane is probably one of the most challenging, actually scratch that it's the MOST challenging, single player video gaming experience I ever faced.

You, sir are a brave man. You die once on insane, and you can't reload. New game time.

Holy sh!t that's awesome!Posted Image

BTW, what difficulty are you playing on, honey?

Normal is kicking my ass at times, dear :pinched:

@the troll above Ali's post.
There's a difference between streamlining done correctly, and consolfication (DA2). ME2 did a good job at streamlining, although I missed some of the rpg elements they took out, still a fun game.

Same. I think I might try a an evil Hard run after this one. Probably an Insane when i've beaten it around 3 or so times.

WHAT?!?!?!!? That sucks.Posted Image

You should have checked if you could run the game before you bought it, honey.

I did. It should be working fine.Posted Image

my computer may be a POS, but it's one that should still work with the game.Posted Image

I've died too many times from "lack of reflexes" to ever consider insane. ;)

Oh, glad to see you here! I asked on some other thread if you'd played it. I wanted to know what you thought! YAY! And yeah I don't have the reflexes to play on insane either.

I have no idea what you just said after CPU Posted Image. I'm not very tech savvy these days.

But I'll probably make a trek to Best Buy or somewhere and ask for that.

I am VERY much well aware of that....makes one very tense.

There was one fight where I found myself fighting a TROLL who took me down half hp in one hit, reloaded and used 3 potions + weapon oil and it still took me 10 mins to kill the thing!

Then I was fighting those blasted spider creatures...almost got killed ( 10% hp and poisoned ). Seriously my blood is pumping, but beforehand I had met the Nekkers.

Such a laughable name...nekker. Well the last thing I wanted to do after clearing out a nest of them was to laugh!

I found the drowners to be more.. challanging then the nekkers.. Even on normal I had to backtrack and let regen work.

I think that without the Quen sign I would be toast.

Seriously **** all else I am preserving all my energy just for that sign.

Drowners do quite a bit of damage, but at least you can predict where they will be....Nekkers are tunnellers, so you don't know where they will pop up!

Playing witcher 2 now its already way better then DA2 is. There is no awesome button lol. I just wish they had recyled maps and a ****ty story so I could play da2 again. Just kidding for those dumb enough to believe me. Anyway love the fact Withcer 2 is non linear and has 16 diffrent endings. The first 5 minutes of witcher 2 will have you hooked, and wanting to play to see all possible endings. Bioware shoulda stayed smart and partnered with Atari again instead of being stupid and letting EA help them. EA are like the Uwe Boll of games. They buy a good name and ruin it but people are still dumb enough to play it. I am just glad when EA approached square enix and bethesda thy where told no. So now EA makes fun of there games all the time. I just wish people in America where smart enough not to buy EAs stuff, to bad that will never happen. I am just glad I never payed for my games. Anyways get witcher 2 if you can it is worth it.

How does Insanity work?

You have to keep playing nonstop for 60-100 hours or run the game in the background?

Even if I had the skills to do it, I don't think I would have the free time available to play a continuous playthrough without stopping.

You CAN save, just that IF you die then you can't reload said saves otherwise you can quit the game, reload etc.

Quen and Yrden are frigging life savers in my opinion. Quen + when its raining is great against the drowners.

With nekkers, I usually stop (got the parry and block skills) and hit "E" to block. :pinched:

It's sad too. I'm not opposed to playing PC games for any reason. I love playing them. I just have very, very bad computer systems that it's not worth the effort. I'm afraid I may have to wait until they make it console available, which means I just spent $50 for a very fancy doorstop.
