Indeed it is. Witcher 2 renders Dragon Age 2 utterly irrelevent. There's no longer a reason to ever even mention it.

Alright I have a potentially dumb question. Whats the number next to the file save you import from TW1 mean? Its listed in the TW2 menu when it asks if you want to import.

I'm pretty sure it's the number of the save. The higher the number, the more recent. Witcher game saves don't overwrite each other, they just add more. Which can be both a blessing and a curse.

It's a curse.
The game is absolutely marvelous, but that's one of the negatives, as far as I'm concerned.
I'd rather have 4-5 saves per character, organized by myself, than 900-1000 spams per playthrough.

I think it's rather smart, actually. Any long time RPG player knows you save often to multiple files. This is that ethos in practice. It's not hard to go into the save folder, drag over a bunch of unneeded saves and hit the delete key. That said, it would be nice if you could prune your save directory from within the game itself.

My magic number is 716 for the file I imported...guess that means I've spent some time with TW1. Good thing I delete as I go.

I'm constantly cleaning it. The savegame folder I mean. Old TW1 habit 'cause I hated how much space I would lose. And yes, the number next to TW1 means the save order. The higher, the more recent in real time, not necessarily in the game time. You could have reloaded an earlier save after finishing the game and if you saved again, it would have a nbr higher than the last save you probably made at the courtyard after defeating the Grand Master.

What I did was create a Perma_save folder and copy my final save with the ending I wanted there, so I could replay TW1 without losing them. To import I just removed the saves of my current run, on hold at Vizima Act 3 and placed the final save back in the original folder! =)

Argh.. I can't decide what path to follow with my char development!

What build are you guys using? I'll only risk insane diff when I have a good build for it and at least a good chance to survive it. As it is now, I can die pretty easily on Normal diff until I figure out the right tactics for that particular bunch of enemies. Then it becomes easy... until the next bunch! hehe

Go for Aard-Quen-Igni plus Swordmanship. Dont even touch Alchemy tree.

Hey guys I levelled up but I can't get points in Swordsmanship anyone know why? Also can you stick to one tree such as if I put all my points in swordsmanship or do you need to distribute your points into the other tree as well?

Lol. Even with Witcher 2 being praised here, it's obvious that Geralt still needs more love.

Your first six talents have to go into Witcher training. I chose 2/2 for Hardiness, Parrying, and Fortitude which grant +50 vitality, parrying from all sides at 100% damage reduction and vigor regeneration during combat. Arrow deflection, throwing daggers and out-of-combat vigor regeneration seem to me much less significant, at least early on. I'm still in the early part of Flotsam, just doing some monster contracts and minigames.

So not what I meant at all. Do NOT twist my words around to fit your anti-DAII agenda. And if DAII is so utterly "irrelevent" (Sic!), why this constant need to bash it in favor of the glorification of another game?

How very classy indeed. :innocent:

Don't care. This is the Witcher 2 thread. Take your Dragon Age 2 love back to your dedicated DA2 forum.

Sorry, just gotta comment, nice overclock.

How'd you get it running 4.3 Ghz for 24/7 use? Volts? Temps @ Prime95?

Because I want BioWare to learn from CDP Red that rushing a game out, and expecting peopel NOT to bash it, is not the way things work. Not to mention all DLC will be free of charge.Posted Image

CDP Red is like a masseuse, they understand that you've paid for their service, and that you want top service. BioWare however..."Suck it up, princess!" (i'm so sorry, Mr. Gaider).

Well he's kind of a mutant too, what with the darkspawn taint and all. But he's also a bit of a sheltered weenie, unfortunately.
