Where should I put my Witcher 1 save file for import?
C:\\Users\\USERNAME\\Documents (my documents..depending on your OS)\\The Witcher\\saves
On topic.
This game is a masterpieces of work. I´m runing it on high, but also tried medium and it is absolutly beautiful. Usually i don´t care about graphics. I still play very old games if they are good, but this is amazing and it FITS the world so perfectly and adds to the atmosphere. It beats every other RPG in this part.
The story and characters so far, are great, even more so if you import your save, though i had a hard time remembering the stuff i did in the first part, it all came naturally back to me. Triss..god i love Triss. THIS is how a romances should be. THIS is how characters should interact, they are believable, they have their goals and don´t run after you like randy dogs. Funny enough, you are not the shiny hero in this game, and you can shape it so perfectly. I can´t wait for the 2nd playthrough, sometimes i did reload the game and it made a difference. Not like..some other game.
Most of the time i prefer turn based combat, however if you can get into the witcher combat, it´s great, timing, avoiding and learning how to beat bosses is rewarding. Nothing better than challenging enemies, not dumb waves out of nowhere.
A thing where i want to make a direct link to Dragon Age 2. What you get for your money is more worth it. And i mean only the box. Though the game too, but that´s a....different thing..and subjectiv..to some braindea...oh forget it

Dragon Age 2 Signature: Game DVD and a cheap manual...Soundtrack? You have to download it. High Res Textures? Download it....seriously?
The Witcher 2 Premium: Game DVD, Manual, Soundtrack, Behind the scene Material (watch it, it´s worth it), game guide(!), a good map of the world (anyone remember the cloth map from DA:O? it fell apart after i got it out..i´m not kidding), collectors coin, 2 papercraft figures (that was..fun..didn´t do that before), and a very funny "letter".
And i paid less for it. Hint hint EA you cheap...
Sure the game has some problems...but all of them are very little.
All together i had not so much fun playing a RPG since the days of Baldurs Gate. Thumbs up to CD for showing that you can make a good game for RPG fans without trying to cater to the lowest common "potential customer".
