There ain't any Witcher 2 forums yet. They are working on them.

Wait... you're telling me that CD Projekt "we-totally-listen-to-everything-our-fans-say" Red don't actually have a forum for people to provide feedback? Doesn't that strike anyone else as a bit odd?

Nope. They said use the gog.com forums (they own gog.com) till all the new servers are up and running. By the sounds of it, they figured they'd have steady sales, nothing of this magnitude, and have time to finish them. Remember, small company, a limited amount of people can only do so much at once.

Speaking of QTE's, how the heck does the arm wresting thing work? I have a quest to beat 4 people I think in Flotsem? Have no idea what to do. I actually think I may pick up the strategy guide on my way home from work today. Still not to sure I know what things mean, and what I'm doing, but even still I'm having a ton of fun so that's a good thing.

As its been said, mouse is super sensitive in this mini game. Geralt's winning side of the bar is always to the right, even if he's sitting on the left side of the table. One small mouse movement to the right sometimes is all it takes to win but if it goes too much and passes the bar, either prepare for another round or reload. It's very difficulty to stop the opponent from winning once we lost control of the bar. Can be done but it's really difficulty because of the super sensibility of the mouse for that minigame.

Does anyone know whether the Nvidia GeForce 9600 GSO can handle TW2? I get the feeling it can but I can't find any info anywhere.

Here is a link that shows what is recommended cards http://witcher.wikia...cal_information

and here is a link that shows the rankings of grahpic cards http://www.techtalkz...nvidia-ati.html

I have all the other requirements but I don't know much about the graphics cards. I'm hoping someone can help me out.

Where´s the polish VO? It doesn´t appear in downloads.

Did you get yours yet? Im not sure if it is GoG's exclusive. Maybe GoG would just have it available first. I think it would require that  the "Registered owners" in the Launcher worked for other people to access that part of the official website and d/l patchers, vo packs and stuff. It will work eventually.

Hah! To be fair to Bioware, any "official" communications about patches and whatnot most likely have to go through the EA corporate bureaucracy. And most likely end up getting lost or edited into something entirely different.

Why should it? o_O Did Bioware have a forum as soon as their second game launched? (Actually wondering this)

I'm playing with a GF 9600GT 512MB DDR3 PCI and game runs great on medium settings with the most demanding effects off. Config's auto detect function set me on High with only Ubersamplig off but I wouldn't be able to play at 1-10 FPS, so I tweaked from there and got around 25-30 FPS which is good enough for me.

That's a budget model from the 9x line, a couple years old now. Probably similar or just a bit below my g92 revision 8800GTS. I can definitely play the game, and it looks great, but I am running mostly low settings.

The redesign of their website is not fully ready yet but I doubt that it will be in a "beta" stage that keeps poping up "you have 3 updates" for 3 subscribed user's blogs that doesn't exist for a long time now, whenever I enter the website! Got it or need me to draw it for you?

Nope. They have forums they are currently down because they are being revamped. You fail at trying to troll.

I love how incredibly defensive you TW2 fanboys get whenever someone mentions something that implies CDPR might not, in fact, be perfect.

And let's face it: No matter how apologetic they are, not having a tech help forum up on release day is pretty bad.

Try here. Just because the official forums are down during the revamp doesn't mean that they have no ways of communicating with people.

They do have a forum dedicated to The Witcher 2 and its many technical issues over at GoG. Obviously this means that CDPR is indeed perfect.

A couple of thoughts:
- I don't remember for certain, but I think The Witcher 2 is the first time I felt real bad for a Troll. :D

- I just beat the Kayran. While initially frustrating, there's just something satisfying from beating the damned thing. Maybe it was how it looked after the fight: the carnage and damage to the surroundings.

...so, there.
Despite horrible framerates (usually in towns. It's ok in caves and some parts of the forest. I can't blame the game: I'm playing on a Pentium 4, hehehe), I'm really enjoying this game.

There was a Troll on a Bridge just like that in Ultima IX! And I'm leaving that beast as my last action in act 1... too much to explore, too many houses to visit and loot.. lol... I thought that they would react to being robbed! =)

Playing this game on a laptop is like driving a go-kart in a Formula One race! IMHO!

@gotthammer: Can you overclock? I also have a bad system, but OC allowed me to get playable frame rates. Also read the performance tips here: www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php

*shrug* It's the only reasonable explanation for why you're so mad that The Witcher 2 is getting great reviews from critics and players. I mean seriously, why would anyone be mad that there's actually a good game development company that listens to their fans. It makes no sense.

But please, please stop trolling this topic. Thank you.

Dude, I'm as much a BW fanboy as I am CDPR's, Piranha Bytes', Blizzard's and Bethesda's .. Perhaps even Rockstar's! If you're so close minded as to miss all the good stuff because "there must be only one" ... well, good luck not losing your head!
