They announced Fable 3 PC to be released the same day as TW2 and people are already commenting how they'd rather get TW2.

The release date couldn't be more poorly planned with games like TW2, L.A. Noire, Brink coming the same day and makes me think MS is doing this so they can say "See? PC games don't sell!" and ditch the effort entirely. Either that or they have great confidence and arrogance that it will beat TW2, even despite the crappy reviews and that PC gamers already forgot about Fable

At best, it will prove Microsoft can more effectively sell kitsch. Good for them.

Fable 3? you mad? Game which is totally focus on consoles and forgot about PC in second part will be better choice on PC than game which is for now PC exclusive?

I have preorder of TW2 , Fable 3 I can buy on 2012 maybe. PC gamers forgot of Fable before Fable 2 was been announced, at least in Poland. MS loses. ( I don't say that F3 is bad game ).

They do need some facial animations. Still not sure what to think of combat...it certainly looks better, but Gop got his ass handed to him when fighting groups of enemies.

Developers usually suck at playing :P

Thats probably because they have all the toys at their disposal:

A world of explanation: during the gamescom presentation the game crashed on them, so they used the DEVELOPERS SORD to rush through the fragment of the game they have already shown.
These must be the most unprofessional, beer drinking developers ever;)
Go team Witcher !

I played The Witcher for about 15 hours... Then I hit a glitch that wouldn't let me progress in the storyline. Haven't touched it since. Needless to say, I haven't' been paying much attention to the sequel.

Thanks for the link.

The Witcher world is outstanding, i have never seen such a beautiful world in an rpg before, maybe some of the colours need toning down a little but apart from that it looks great.

Combat still needs more work and the red splashing when getting hit needs changing.

Apart from that it looks like a winner.

Sweet Jebus....that's pre-beta!? This is the first high res vid I've seen of the game, everything online is blury or pixelated. Great attention to detail: swaying grass, tangible atmosphere, sunlight glinting off Geralt's clothing and shafts of light cutting through the foilage above. Now they just need to smooth out that camera, enable V Sync, etc.

...and get rid of the blood spash screen.
...and I hope the cheesy rock music isn't in the game. Yuck.

Matias Foster performed 180% of the norm. And what did you do to fulfill the plan?

@Slimgrin the rock music stays, its part of the charm :)

Wonder if we'll get to see some of the other witchers again, I wouldn't have minded playing as one of them and was hoping they'd turn up with triss at the old manor in TW1.

When we fought the Golemn. I'll admit, I tend to get picky. :(   No matter, it wouldn't ruin the game for me or anything. It still looks great.

Anyone know if we can still play the drinking game? I want to see Geralt stumbling drunk again.

* I checked the Youtube link. Someone just let the fanboyz out of their pen, lol.

You might be thinking of this

I don't know about the rest of the world but in Poland RPGs and trash metal tend to share a common fan base.

Yeah. You guys also know that poland death metal band Vader made a song and video to The Witcher, right?

Not my kind of metal though, but whatever...

Well I still prefer music like this for the game:

The original only had snippets of heavy metal, and even then it sounded misplaced. With all due respect to Poland's love of death metal, it doesn't fit in a medieval setting. The Witcher already has enough modern mannerisms. Too much, and immersion is compromised.
