(This is my first time posting in this thread, and I will just say I'm enjoying TW2 so far. EDIT: I forgot to say I'm at awe with the engine. I'm running at low-med custom settings because my full system spec can't handle it high. But even at the lower settings, it's beautiful.)

Has anyone been able to play this game on uber settings, I have everything on but that.  But that setting just crushes my PC.

I average about 15 FPS with ubersampling turned on.

Heh...yeah, I've heard ubersampling is best not messed with. How about when you have it off?

I average about 25-30 fps. Its not great, but I actually didn't get much better than that in the first game.

I average 45 with it turned off (on utlra settings).

Honestly, I can't tell any great difference between having it on and having it off.

I actually use "super uber" settings to run the games.
When UberSambling is on it runs average 17 FPS . When it is turn off, it is around 40-50 FPS in 1920x1200 and running smoothly throughout the game.

i7 2600K+ 32G ram+ 6970CF (BTW, it does not support crossfire at all.)

Yeah.. heard that it doesn't make much difference, other than killing the FPS! (Compared to playing it on max settings, I mean)

The Ubersampling is more like an GPU driver issue, I think some patches will fix it soon.

Now... I need just 2 lousy pieces of Robust Clothes so I can craft my Kayran Armor still in Act 1 but I can't find it anywhere! Oh, and I got rich from minigames..love it!

The Witcher 2 is definitely a pretender for game of the year 2011. Everything in the game is wonderful - nonlinear plot, sexy characters, story with intrigue in the background.

Go to the building left to the tavern with a door on second floor. It is the blue strip's HQ. Enjoy it.

The witcher 2 is what I HOPED Bioware would become, not a PG-13 or rated T for teens. Give us some vulgar cuss words, open the game with the shot of a naked woman sleeping in your bed. And on some stages the game feels like "Heavy Rain" when you attack the gurad, he swings you have press A once it flashs on the screen, if you miss it he hits you.

He hit it, you counter hit him.

Since I keep hearing about it, I'm thinking in purchasing this game. However about a week ago I bought the first Witcher and I really didn't like it.

Do you guys think that this game improves over the first ? and in what ways?

Hmm they made combat much more fun and difficult. Traps are new and awesome. All spells now are necessary compared to before where you only used Igni and Aard. Um graphics! Story is non-linear mature dark and gritty. Lots of new enemie types and well there is a lot really.

This game is so beautiful visually.. you need a good graphics card and system in order to play it. Minimum requirements are 2core processors and 8800GT. But even my ATI HD4850GS is already crying with 1680x1050.. I'm planning to upgrade my graphics card which will be totally worth it for this masterpiece.

Oh ya the combat has totally been revamped and it's so freaking fun!. Many complain it's HARD even on normal BUT don't worry you can play on EASY if you wished so. ONCE you learned on how to play, the combat is so freaking FUN!. I won't spoil it for ya, but if you watched the CDPR Spring 2011 Conference you will know how to play the game

The differences between TW1 and TW2 is similar to ME1 to ME2 however TW2 contains as much RPG elements as TW1.

Personal opinon: ME1>TW1; ME2<= TW2
