I can't imagine how on earth that CDPR able to release the BEST RPG and was developed in 3.5years. Only gripe is many been talking is the game is too short. Hopefully they can put on more content with DLC and perhaps a very MEATY expansion pack that complete the whole TW2 saga.

I haven't beaten the game yet but I can already tell many issues won't be resolved by the end.  Some parts of the story I'd like to see further exploration would be best as a full blown sequel.

CDProjekt did say they want expansions instead of dlc.

Ok I feel like I need to "show off", finally got down the bug queen after 2-3 min. Had like 4-5 wipes on this mob.

***Tiny Spoilers***

Heres what I did

I only used the sign that paralizes the bug queen then I open up first with one heavy blow (right mouse button) and followed it up with 2-3 light blows (left mouse button), what I did if the Queen blocked just even one attack, I dodged immediately (usually from the left side or right), sometimes her attack shaves off half of my health. Rinse and repeat

Oh and you need to use the buffs from your alchemy

Result: Dead Bug

I feel so proud ^_^

edit: ign's playthrough

Expansions for TW2= Must BUY.
I'm just wondering the length of ME3 though, how much content could Bioware put into it before 2012? TW2 took about 4 years to set the bar of 2011's RPG.

I think it's also important to consider that CDPR had to develop their new engine in addition to the game in that amount of time. I'm still surprised they managed to do all of that in only a few years.

The combat is the BEST experience i EVER had in my entire RPG gaming to date. Eurogamer sums it up precisely here:

There's a sense that Geralt wins fights not because he's the hero, but because of talent, training and intelligence. Which, of course, makes him even more of a hero. He's a great protagonist.

People always have the idea that MY hero kicks ass and i can kill anything without effort.

Don't forget they even attempted to make Rise of the White Wolf using the RED Engine. Obviously they cancelled it but they did start it.

What do you mean legit? It's a user created mod. I doubt CDProjekt minds they did have a mod fourm before.

The game combat lacks one thing in my opinion. Targeting.. Some claimed the auto-targeting sucks which i kinda agree. If they can implement a cross-hair in the middle of the screen as targeting that would be nice.

You can buy it retail, but I'm not sure if a place like Walmart would carry it. Best Buy and Gamestop definitely have it, though.

The GS only has 256mb right?  You'll need to upgrade.

I just double checked.  Your card is the minimum required for DAII.  You won't be able to run TW2.

TW2 is more demanding then DA II, a 7900 gs probably won't cut it, sorry.

Lots of good tips here, I'll have to try and remember them when I get home. As for the folks bashing the game and trying to compare it to DA2. Stop. CDPR crafted a complex hardcore RPG that has challenge and a bit of a learning curve, that was their aim. Bioware's aim with DA2 was to simplify it for the masses and the ADHD crowd of push a button to win and over simplification.

Two completely different design philosophies. Personally I perfer the complex route.

"Just stop" because you like it and other fans of TW1 don't?  We're just as much entitled to an opinion on the design changes as those who like them.  That's like someone telling Origins fans to stop complaining about DA2 because they're different games.

And for those of you saying "just play on Easy," that's as dumb as Mike Laidlaw's statement that playing on Hard would fix all the problems people have with DA2.  If it's a design problem, it's not going to go away by changing the difficulty.

Yes your opinion is valid that the game is complex. Here is some words of wisdom for you, the complex games/rpg's are 1 in a million. Easy/hold my hand/shape my dumb story for me games are dime a dozen.

My point is you have plenty of easy games where you dont have to think for yourself just like DA2 so go play them. For the rest of us there is always Demon Souls and TW2.
