As a PC player, we should aim for PC centric development that's highly scalable and can be ported to consoles. That's what Witcher 2 is. I have zero doubts that CDPR want the game on consoles.
In comparison, Dragon Age 2 is a game that's likely developed for consoles first, then upscaled for PC.
It's not something to really throw more dirt on. It's a practice that's industry wide. It's simply cheaper and easier to do as the technology has been stagnant for years and because consoles often sell more games than PC.
In any case, Bioware has never pushed the envelope when it comes to technical graphics so it's not really something we can hold against them.
Another example I can hold up is New Vegas. The Strip was reduced in size, then split into 3 tiny sections because the Xbox 360 didn't have enough memory to handle the planned version.

'Tis true what mrcrusty is saying.
The best looking FPS today ( without anyone able to bring an argument against it ) is Crysis 2, and it does not use DX11 yet ( they working to implement it ).
Funny thing is I would say that Crysis 1 looks better in a lot of areas. Artistically, Crysis 2 stomps all over 1, but in terms of raw textures, detail and technical graphics, I hand the edge to Crysis 1.
Anyyyyywayyysss...
Back on topic. Has anyone done the Fight Club quests? I finished them in a particular way that offended someone important and I'm wondering if it will bite me in the ass later on. I'm kind of hoping it does, choice & consequence and such.
