Abilities like Whirl are passive right? Once we spent talents on them, all our attacks are "group style" from that moment onwards?

Indeed, DA2 has the bold, charming, strong and independent woman Isabella compared to the cheap Polish wh*re Triss in TW2, who exists only as eyecandy for lonely nerds.

I thought women, in general, are handled far more respectfully in Witcher 2 than the original. I'd have ploughed at least 12 gals by now in TW1.

What exactly do you have againts the Polish people? Your cheap trolling gets to screw itself the moment when you bring racism into this.

In any case, I know it hurts that TW2 seems to be better. Try to get over it.

TW3 needs a freaking arrow pointing you to your quest's destination, either as an option or as a hint. It doesn't make your game "smart" if the player gets lost because the map is stupid.

I'd prefer a map marker for minor quests and a chest to stash stuff in.

Well, it does if the player doesn't get lost because he actually uses the big (M)ap! =)

It is there. Just open the (M)ap! EDIT: You're right. Not for minor quests. But they aren't really necessary. A little exploration and you'll get them all plus some rewards for the exploration itself, like items or diagrams or formulas... or just a fraking beautiful view from places in the map you wouldn't have a reason to go otherwise.

DA2 did a much better job at making me care than TW2, but that's entirely subjective.

Objectively, I would say TW2 is the better game. But I don't know if/when I'll finish it.

This may sound weird, but I'd love to play a cRPG from CDP that wasn't based on the Witcher series.

In terms of which recently released game tramples over everything, in my opinion that game is L.A. Noire.

That's a fair assessment, really. Being engaged by the narrative and characters is something that's different for all players. If you were drawn into Dragon Age 2 but not Witcher 2, you'd obviously enjoy it more even if you realise that as a game, Dragon Age 2 is more flawed than Witcher 2.

How is L.A Noire? Most feedback is pretty good and I've been planning to tackle that post-Witcher 2.

2/10.

You have to make it seem somewhat believable...

But you get 2 points for adding a touch of racism into it.

:D

Second that 2/10 score nice try. Going in the right direction for true troll status. Keep working on it, I'm sure you'll get there. Be the little troll that could.

Now now, Triss is from Maribor, the second largest city in Temeria. She isn't from poland at all. That makes her a Temerian [insert vulgarity] at best.

Remember when people had to read journal entries for quests? When there were no quest markers.

But you the map for people who don't care.

Bio Server seems to be acting out again! Well, there are some side quests that do not have quest marks, like the endrega queens or nekkers but the exploration is rewarded beautifully in TW2!

No, there isn't. There are map markers for major quests but not for minor ones.

OH I like how you think!

@ UpsettingShorts, how is LA Noire? So we don't get this locked, PM me? I am dying to know. It looks fantastic, but I prefer someone as smart and honest as you to tell me the truth. I know you don't pull punches and try to be constructive.:)

Good times, good times. Gothic 2 anyone?
Probably a deja vú but TW2 really reminds me of that game. Everytime I level up or get a better equipment I feel some sense of accomplishment. Not just "hey I haz the money so I can buy the OP sword", no nothing like that.

Well yea your forced to read the journal and look for their habitats. "Geralt learns killing the cocoons will draw the queen out" something like that.

Yeah, tried to edit the post but there was some huge lag:
