I wonder if we'll actually get any story dlc for free, aside from Troll Trouble.

I'm sure there will be a few more minor sidequests with their own self-contained plots and such. They'll probably save the important story parts for a proper expansion. They definitely left things open so I'm expecting big things in the near future.

I don't have FB account. That's sad.. They should release it to everyone like they promised all future DLC would be free.

So without getting into spoilers, what did you guys think of the ending? A lot of people have been saying it's abrupt and doesn't really resolve anything.

I haven't got to the end of TW2 but let me get this straight.

DA2 is bashed by you guys for having an abrupt ending that leaves things open for further content to complete the story arc.

TW2 is praised by you guys for having an abrupt ending that leaves things open for further content to complete the story arc.

As I said, fanboys.

Not as bad as Dragon Age II but still pretty bad. A lot of the choices you make never come to fruition. That said, I think the biggest disappointment with the game ending is that it actually ends. It's too damn good to end.

Alright. Let's make something clear - the intent of this thread is to discuss TW2. Does that mean you aren't allowed to bring up concerns with the game? No, of course not. Does it mean that if your only intention is to 'get a rise' out of the people who enjoyed TW2, you will be asked to stop posting? Yes, it most certainly does.

So if you're here to discuss TW2, great. If you have some concerns with the game that you'd like to bring up with other people who wish to discuss TW2, great. If you want to get a rise out of others through hyperbole and vitriol, don't post.

Allow me to further mention that admitting to trolling and then saying 'but I haven't gotten warned!' ranks up there as one of the 'top five worst ideas in forum posting history'. It's akin to standing on the top of a tall hill in a thunderstorm, waving a metal flagpole and saying 'DO YOUR WORST, GODS OF THUNDER'.

"Oh, well, in that case..."

Heh MY computer is using a HD 5770. I'm at a friends house for 2 weeks and his computer has Dual GTX 580's so I been enojoying Witcher 2 here. I don't wanna play on my computer now : /

I plan to upgrade eventually but I can play on high with SSAO, Shadows, Blur and Cinematic Depth of field off on my desktop.

Basicly, you just have to "like" the CD Projekt page, and they (apparently) will send out the Mage Set DLC codes to everyone who did so.

Holy cow! Dual GTX580's !! Such a loaded friend you have there :P. How did it fare on ubersampling on? Or is ubersampling a flawed feature?

Ya I learned my lesson a while back, quite frankly reading the garbage I posted back there is quite embarrasing.

Oh it cripples the performance. Just turning it on seems to go from 60 to like 15-20 fps and in combat it's even lower.

Someone on Steam forums is taking  a lot of screenies with ubersampling on and doing comparison shots. It does look amazing and more natural when moving I've noticed.

ubersampling is on the right. Look at the extra detail! Just look at Geralt's shirt and sword.

Holycow! The ubersampling is indeed really sweet! Not unless it was not flawed. I believed it need some tweaking.. It's kinda ridiculous dual GTX580's will have 10-15FPS.

But the details are really awesome!

I think it's more like Crysis 1 where current tech at the time couldn't handle it but now everything can play it almost perfectly. Witcher 2 seems like the benchmark GPU will be tested on in future hardware tests.

If I turn the ubersampling on, my gpu could melt down....
The game is great, ending hints either some major dlc or the fact the developers just didn't have enough money/time or both. I also must say the soundtrack is awesome too.

The ending hints that they want full expansions. After all CDprojekt said they want expacs to add more content at once.
