You could read the game guide that comes with the game!
I'm a man, I dont read manuals, I tinker first, then after it's broken I read.

If I turn the ubersampling on, my gpu could melt down....
The game is great, ending hints either some major dlc or the fact the developers just didn't have enough money/time or both. I also must say the soundtrack is awesome too.
I thought that was a sequel hook? You solved the main mystery of the story, as much as you did in TW1 anyway.

Malena sidequest was so terrible without preparation... When you go down the cave f*cking dozen nekker freaks come at once. Insta-death. So drink rook, swallow, make 10 or so grapeshot bombs, protect with quen and it's a different story. I like the need for some tactics.
You didn't run? Boss battles are telegraphed sometimes so you can prepare, but with regular enemies sometimes the best strategy is to book it and plan.

You can walk forward a little at a time, and they'll come 2 or 3 at a time. If Geralt lunges forawrd too much and attracts others turn and go backwards and they will stop chasing. Then creep forward slowly again and pick off two or three at a time. Died a few times before I figured that out.

I blasted most of that group with a conflagration trap.
It was very amusing.

I'm at the Flotsam chapter finale, it's finally starting to be a lot of fun.
Iorveth is probably my favorite character.
*SPOILERS*
Loved walking through the town with Iorveth to get to the barge, regret not going to talk with Roche and see what he offers though.

Shorts, where is the LA Noire topic you promised us? I waited for it to post last night but it never appeared.
I was told there was a topic, went to find one, but got distracted by Dunkin Donuts and forgot about it.
I'll just post it here.

I also don't like that you can't move the camera back to get a better view.

Light *Spoilers*
In Flotsam:
I chose to go with Vernon, and the stealth mission was epic. Had to tiptoe inside the barracks and not wake up the guards*
I'm in the middle of the "necromancy" stage in Ch. 2. You'll know it when you get to it. Without revealing any spoilers, "The Plot Thickens... *Cue Dastardly Music*"
Game is a 9 out of 10 for me so far. It would be a full 10 if there weren't so many CTDs and freezes. I have to save every few minutes in fear.

I love Act 1 so far, it is far superior to the Swamp back in TW1. I just finished with the Hospital quest and it was excellently executed, really good stuff.
But the hospital is the only varied sidequest in all of Act 1, everything else is simply monster hunting or herb collecting (until the finale). Having done all the other sidequests except the hospital quest first, it felt like a breath of fresh air.

wouldn't go that far...
fist fight leads to fight club to being jumped if you dont throw the fight
go to the blue stripes and have a drink, find out why you wake up naked and sporting a new tattoo

TW2 does something different from mosnter hunting though. Instead of the classic "go out and kill x number of monsters" the quest actually tells you to do the most logical type of action, take out the source. For the nekkers it's the nests and the endriga's the egg sacs then the Queen. I had fun doing both.

tell you whats the improvement over the first aswell, killing more of them gives you info, rather than needing a book or giving a granny a loaf of bread
