Man I hate wraiths, by far my most disliked enemy thus far.

they're pretty easy if you parry

I was doing the Claws and Madness quest, and it was multiple wraiths.  I finally figured out a strategy for fighting more than one.

I jsut popped up my Quen and spammed fast attack. This of course in addition with Swallow, Tawny Owl, and Cat. That ****ing hospital screamed ****fest, I knew I had to pot up lol.

All I have to do is find Da Vinci for the hidden blade :bandit:

Where did you find enough robust cloth? If ya don't mind me asking.

One thing is certain, this is no "button smashing" game. If you don't prepare yourself for a fight, this game can kick your ass!

Man it's just amazing how much they paid attention to the little things in this game. I was grabbing a snack with the game just running. When it gets dark, a person actually walks around and lights all the torches.

Craft it from normal cloth would be a good idea.

I have just started this game, and it is so amazing. I was walking around the slum part of the first town, and these little kids were following me as I walked. I agree w/above poster that the details are so well done.

Cedric sells it I think.  But I know for sure that a guy in a house near where he walks around sells it.  Outside the city walls.  I had 8 when I beat the Kayran, no idea where I came acroess those.  But I was able to buy 9 checking back everyday after I did quests and stuff.

L.A. Noire is one of the best, and most unique games I've ever played. To go into too much detail would be off-topic, but there are quite a few solid reviews out there.

I don't often give numerical scores because I think they're arbitrary, but if I had to it'd be up there with Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri with a "minor issues not even enough to drop it half a point" score of something like 9.6-9.9/10.

Where the "game" is is in your own internal pressure to think.  The game of wits with NPCs is unique to L.A. Noire.

The criticism above that re-playability probably isn't on the table - beyond replaying missions for better scores - does ring true. On that front, I'd recommend making sure to do all the available sidequests as you go, even if the main cases compel you more, because going back after won't quite feel the same.

Thanks! *HUGS* I knew you would give me a good idea about the gameplay! You are the awesome sauce on the pasta of my life!

Pros:
+ Dialogue is fantastic. Probably the best I've ever seen in a game.

Really?

I'm just going to assume there's a wealth of good dialog unshown on YouTube videos and just download the game.

I am not sure i like the combat in TW2 so far, to much slashing and not enough sword techniques.

I also don't like that you can't move the camera back to get a better view.

The camera does get some distance from Geralt in some combat situations, doesn't it? And Sword Techniques... if you mean combos, they are there.. I haven't figured all exactly how to use them intentionally but I know they are there because sometimes I do use them!

Ugh, just stumbled upon the Witcher wiki, I missed a handful of chap 1 quests.

Heh, I did that when first playing Witcher 1. I've had it bookmarked since.

Also got to be careful with the guide that comes with the CE of TW2; the side quests are typically listed *after* all the main/alternative stuff. For now it's more reliable than the witcher wiki, until the wiki gets updated more fully.

Indeed, I got the GoG edition so I don't think I have the guide, but I hate the idea of moving on knowing that I missing at least 2 maybe 3 sidequests.

I am very much like that, but not on my first playthrough. In that one I just go with whateever the game presents me. The wiki or a guide would distract me from the fun. In succesive playthoughs I don't mind and will start to approach it like a science and get most of the achievements. Yes, I have the Steam version. ;)

GoG's version has the guide too. As well as maps, and a load of extras. Just make sure to d/l them all. In GoG account page, owned games,  make sure you scroll down the bar past "download with GoG downloader".. the goods are bellow that.

I was told there was a topic, went to find one, but got distracted by Dunkin Donuts and forgot about it.

I'll just post it here.  It's off topic but I'm past caring.

Does it play in the PC? If not, it is not really a game! I won't even acknowledge its existence! (because sadly I own no console and I don't intend to)

You want the diagram for "solid cloth" I believe. Kinda confusing.

GDI lol.  I didn't buy that because I didn't see any recepies that used it.  I guess that explains why.

You mean Robust Cloth? Yeah, and stores restock pretty fast or on a reload too! Cheap trick for when you're desperate for a component!

Yep, just visted a couple vendors a couple times and had enough to make my krayan skin armor. Fighting the former witcher now and getting my tail handed to me though lol.

Well no, I meant the diagram to make robust cloth. Which is called solid cloth. But you're right, the merchants sell units of robust cloth as well.

The area where all the crates near the docks and the craftsmen area constantly respawns loot to sell including cloth btw. Just meditate a lot and you can make some easy Orens.

It's not a hard fight... as long as you hit him from behind.. and don't get hit off course.. heh

For that fight I found the best strategy to be a berserker offense. Start swinging hard and hit him before he can get off his first quen. When he eventually parries, usually after 2 or 3 hits, parry yourself. Then hit him hard again while he's deflected. I played all kinds of cat-and-mouse games with him, using all my powers...and had the most luck with an all out assault. Worth a shot anyway if you've tried everything else. You might want to mix a quen of your own in there if you think you can pull it off without screwing up the rhythm. Basically just interrupt him constantly. When I did this I eventually pushed him up against the wall and was just pummelling the crap out of him until the cutscene kicked in. Felt good after all the prior failure.

I really enjoyed the Claws of madness quest. Love how spirits are depicted in this game.
