Don't tell me women don't find Iorverth's eye patch a turn on? Even if it is.....real and not for show.

SPOILER

Am I the only one who sided with Roche at the end of Act 1? I quite like the turn out for Act 2.

Also the beginning of Act 2. Pure concentrated awesomeness incarnate. That scene I must of rewatched a hundred times now.

END OF SPOILERS.

I sided with Roche in my first playthough. It gets very interesting with him during chapter 2. Can't say more.

Also, the guy who did VO for Roche has done a good job. Really fits him and his temper.

TW2 just made me laugh so much. Act II, during a certain Vergen related quest:

SPOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILERS (Minor)

Mr. Troll and Mrs. Troll. The way they talk. Hilarious. And once that quest phase is over, Mrs. Troll hounding Mr. Troll about a certain "humie" stench..... I laughed more during this than during the Hangover quest!!!:lol::lol:

What a shame, a bug is preventing me to climb the final tower in Act III, Geralt just moonwalks sideways instead of climbing up. :(

I'll try to reload a much earlier save.

Whoever designed these cities and areas, my goodness. Vergen is awesome.

Start of act two, fantastic.

The who owl sequence was just, that's how you start an act.

Also it's worth dropping to 20 FPS to have ubersampling on.  The game is just gorgoues.

Vergen puts Orzammar to shame & then some. And its mines make the Deep Roads look cartoony.

Sadly art imitates life...:crying:

Harpy cave or Catcombs or the cave behind the waterfall in Act 1, the caev behind Flotsam> DA2  different cave.

Damn even their caves are pretty to look at. Has anyone used flare inside of a dakr area? It looks great the lighting I like just tossing them everywhere since it rolls around and light bouncing off walls.

Now you have me anxious to get to the mines :)

But I didn't really compare Vergen to Orzamaar because it was above ground, but this is what Kirkwall should have been like, setting so high up.  I was way up when the sun was setting, I just sat and watched the whole thing like it was a real sunset.  This game is just beautiful.

And I'm wearin' the hell out of Fraps :D

Vergen unlike Orzammar is confusing to walk around. I get lost so much! Both are in mountains yet only Vergen has tunnels and staircases that lead anywhere. When I first got to Vergen and found the small outskirts and left through that exit and saw the little waterfall oasis it was just breathtaking. Especially since it was night and herbs not looted so you could see fireflies flying in the air.

I love the guy. If he weren't so tightly wound about saving Temeria, I'd say he would a better bro than Garrus. Pity Geralt and him barely forge a friendship in the game. He is definitely one of The Witcher 2's stars. Even more so than Geralt himself.

The game has finished downloading, and I created an account and registered my game, but now when I go to the launcher it says "Connection error. Try again later." at the bottom (referring to the DLC link). Trying to launch the game nets me a "The Witcher 2 failed to start (error code 80)." This is with the Steam version of the game. Any suggestions?

Quite an inauspicious start =/
