I agree. I have to skim posts and avert my eyes the moment spoilers hit. I'd be better off just avoiding the thread.ScepticMatt wrote...

Trying some different settings. Got rid of motion blur and it's a lot better. Did anyone else think it was a little excessive in this game.

Most welcome. I'm glad you're enjoying this gem. I'm on my second runthrough and dammit, it's like two different games. The decisions/branches are so well done, it's breathtaking.
I was so hoping this was the case. You have made me a happy girl indeed. Now, all I have to do is convince myself to take the other path.... worth it to see the artistry in how those branches are done. I am very curious!

Note, however, that this wasn't a Sessler review. If it was, and if Sessler is not a hypocrite, it would have recieved a similar if not worse review than Dragon Age 2. The things he liked about DA2 are quite absent in TW2 (lengthy dialog choices, stylized graphics in place of uncanny valley/generic fantasy graphics, group play, etc.) and the things he did not like ("decidedly uneven combat") are abundant.Dragoonlordz wrote...

Granted, after I brought down the fog I did not pursue any quest in Aedern, but I didn't think there was any because I chose the Roche path. Not a lot of time passed when I found myself at Loc Murrain and fighting the dragon. This is maybe the only disappointment I have with the game, aside from the punishing (though fun) combat.
I'm already starting a new playthough, and I think I'm gonna side with Iorveth and kill that rapist king this time around.
EDIT: I have to say, this is my favorite for GOTY until Deus Ex: Human Revolution comes out.

After everything that happens, and after he explains everything to you, do you really think he deserves to die for what he did?

The guy killed two kings doing the wetwork of Nilfgaardian plot to put the Northern Kingdoms into turmoil to preempt an invasion, dang right he had to die.

I didn't feel as if he had to die. He was just another pawn for the Nilfgaardians, like Sila and Dethmold were. The Nilfgaardian emperor probably deserves death however.
Did anyone see that scene where Roche tears out Dethmold's balls and slits his throat? That was awesome.

Yes, I felt he had to die. If the Order of Viper Witchers consider his actions to be morally good it would be better off not reforming them because they will stir up more toruble in the future. His actions with the general populance were callous and selfish. Do not let the fact he spared Geralts life cloud your decision. The only reason I would let him live is if importing a save from that changed TW3 in a significant way.
Harder question is whether you kill the dragon or not.

They'd only need LucasArts/Lucas Film permision as far as I know. Since LA solely owns the license to any and all SW related products.

True - but I'm pretty sure you'd find that Bioware have some level of rights too - at a bare minimum, I'm almost certain that they own in its entirety the combat system/engine for the game.

Yep. because he got dragged into it. Geralt tells Foltest as they climb atop the tower where children are being held that he wants to leave and take Triss with him.

I always liked Sessler's review. He reviewd Witcher 1 gave it a great review and 4/5 considering how bad the launch was I think that's a great score.

That graph is out of date. I picked up a trial of EVE Online two months ago and the learning curve was not that different from vanilla WoW.Ringo12 wrote...

Lol no way. WoW is too simple which is why so many people can get into it.
I'm in Act III I just crafted the Vran armor now I'm looking to get the Forgotten Sword of Vrans. How do I get it?

Sided with Roche, and help him free the princess and bring death to Dethmold, you could find the Forgotten Sword of Vrans in Dethmold's safe.

I'm at Vergen, pretty cool place. I can already see other paths I want to take at so many turns in this game. I did most the quests in Flotsam, but didn't explore the forest as much as I should have. I know I missed stuff.
Downloaded a couple UI tweaks and the 950 lb weight capacity mod. Both are pretty handy.

Man, Hard diff using only original game items (the armor's diagram is from the troll DLC though) I can deal a whole lot more damage than Normal diff with imported items. Kayran, for instance, I could hit for some 40 dmg in Normal, Aerondight with 3 runes... same buffs and all but a Superb Witcher's Sword with 2 runes and I hit that thing for 90dmg in Hard difficulty!!!!

did anyone encounter the rose of memory bug at ACT II? Philippa told me the rose was in Cynthia's personal things when I came back with the royal blood from Henselt? but I could not find that rose, I only found a box in Cynthia's room with some orens in it. can anyone tell me where to find that rose? if the rose is in that box, I'm pretty sure this is a bug for me, kinda game breaking right now
