did anyone encounter the rose of memory bug at ACT II? Philippa told me the rose was in Cynthia's personal things when I came back with the royal blood from Henselt? but I could not find that rose, I only found a box in Cynthia's room with some orens in it. can anyone tell me where to find that rose? if the rose is in that box, I'm pretty sure this is a bug for me, kinda game breaking right now

*****spoiler******

problem solved, I forget to do the dragon's dream quest  :D I got the rose

what's with that locked trapdoor in that nekker's cave for Malena quest? Is there a way to open it? I've cleared the cave then and again (they respawn at least once... great mutagens source and also a good income source from selling all low quality mutagens) in two runs now.

I found one trapdoor we cannot interact in a cave outside, the other end of that one in the caves perhaps?

I love my Hunter's Armor with three +2Armor +10Vitality enhancements (total 16 AC +30Vita) than Kayran Armor. There, I've said it! With the same enhancements Kayran's would have AC 15 and +60 Vita. The bonuses on them are the very same and Hunter's does not force a hood upon my Geralt! yay!

Erm, maybe stats vary between games or something, but I'm pretty sure the Kayran armor has base +15 armor and +30 vitality and +50% to all resists without any enhancements.

You know.
A thought hit me just now.
The main premise of this is that this game is legendary.
When 90% of the reasonings for it being "legendary" are that it is better than another game that people thought was going to be good/wanted to be different.

While TW2 is good, it doesn't really do anything to stand out amng RPGs, let alone become an instant classic like Mario that is remembered forever.

No, it's the title. Much like 'epic' and 'awesome,' legendary is just a word someone is using to say 'I like it and so should you.'

If we're going to analyze the use of the word legendary, let's not say Mario will be remembered forever.

James Fenimore Cooper was a writer during the early 19th century who was considered by his peers to be one of the most popular, prolific, and important American novelists. People from around the world new about his works.

Yet the average modern reader has no heard of him while they're very familiar with Mark Twain, a man who wrote during the same period and is arguably a far less accomplished writer.

There's no way to know if Mario will be considered a classic 200 years from now.

I don't think it takes 200 years to become a "legend" in the modern world, so to speak.

I mean, Deus Ex 1 may as well be considered "legendary" among gamers and it's roughly a decade old.

But there hasn't been much of anything quite like it since, and that contributes to it. In that sense, if TW3 is released and is similar to TW2, I doubt 2 would end up being considered legendary because it's not unique.

If you put it like that, DA2 is unique, regardless how people feel about it being a vast departure from its predecessor?

That's not quite what I mean.

Deus Ex 1 was great, but it's greatness - in terms of reputation - wasn't "diluted" by sequels which were equally good/similar.  So people who loved it remember it and only it with that same fondness.

Well it's legendary to me, so me and some others will carry that torch. Best story and twists and variety of meaningful choices in ages. Makes DAO linear in comparison(though I still totally dig that game), same goes for ME(though I'm so itching to play the third).

Deus Ex: HR might change that.

Nopz, it doesn't. Second run and the exact same stats:

It might, and that's a big reason why a lot of folk are excited about it.  We'll see, of course.

I'm careful not to get too excited for it. I'll wait and see if the general consensus feels it leans more towards the first game, than Invisible War. Most disappointing sequel ever(for me, anyway).

I'll get DX23 on the Steam holiday sale. This was my mistake with TW2, buying it early.

You should leave the last Poker challenge for after you advanced the Troll Trouble quest so you could win it in the dice and it would work. As it is, if you've beaten the Poker Face quest, you can either kill the troll for the tongue after finishing Troll trouble or buy the tongue from the witch from Melitele's quest, using a mod that makes the tongue and newboy's amulet (for those who spared Newboy and didn't get it) available for sale there and may delete the mod afterwards without any problem.

Now, the only way to gain the Hunter's Armor diagram from the Troll is presenting his mate's head so if you have a save before beating Poker Face, I'd recommend reloading.

*sighs*, we get it, you don't like it. Any point in repeating that over and over to a bunch of people that have already concluded it is our best RPG ever or at least one of the greatest of all times?

Well, most previews seem to say it is closer to DX1.  But believe me, I played IW too.  I'm not exactly assured either.

I like it. I've said so many times. I just wish I had waited to buy it on sale instead of for $49.

I found a letter implicating Margot as at the very least a Scoia'tael symphatiser (how very sloppy to let such a document lying around), but I can't confront her about it, can't rat her out to the commandant, nor tell Síle about it.

It seems the game isn't very reactive to the player going outside the intended flow of quests. I've also had it happen numerous times that dialogue options popped up about characters I hadn't even met yet.
