Thanks for the tip. I installed the game on a seperate 2Tb harddrive,just for preserving every fantastic moment/choices. Thats why my saves are so huge.

Good God I saved alot. I just cleared 1.72 gb, and the folder is still 1.6 gb! I was truly afraid of CTD

You know if you want to save the saves, you can compress 2+ GB of the saves down to a measly 170~ MB

True, no need for me though. I don't need to document every single quest. For finished playthroughs (I don't touch them after, unless its DLC), I keep a half-way point, and a couple towards the end.

That's a good idea Gvaz, I should have thought of that.

Told ya! I'm still on Act 1 of my first run, (technically it's 2nd with some 10 prologue restarts  'cause I had no idea talents spending requires meditating on Hard diff but I never finished the first playthrough) hehehe... (don't want it to end really!)

I just go cleaning along the way and backing up some key saves. Just in case. And it's cool to see the Nexus already with The Witcher 2.

I have well over 2.5 and am only on the second chapter.  I am scared to touch them on the first playthrough....just in case.   

I did download the cleanup save utilty though, for AFTER this vanilla playthrough.   It looks great.

I'm just glad its PC port to Console, rather than vice versa. The latter never optimizes for the extra use you can get out of a PC :/

Good for consoles. I might buy it down the road when I head back off to college with my Ps3.

Not sure if it's been mentioned - but I hope that the patch (or the next one) allows you more control over saves.  I'd like to be able to delete saves within the game, and be able to save OVER old saves, instead of continually building up a massive collection of 20Mb saves!

Has the patch been distributed by Steam yet?

I'm still not able to register, so I can't access the Troll DLC.

When I click on the "Register Game" button on the launcher splash page, I'm taken to a pop-up menu where I can create an account; however I cannot type in the "username" field and I can't click on any of the other fields.
