No one cares as long as it's ported from PC to console and not the other way around.
I still love ME 1 though

Its a given its gunna be ported, probably in a year or so. Still think TW2 on low settings on the PC will still look better than it on the console.

As they say in the detail, in this case the better quality textures.
But off topic so the word emo is out and elitist, hater and hipster are in when one runs out of sensible arguments.

Anyhow i'm pleased they are porting to consoles since there are huge fanbase for consoles. It's worth grabbing the money and go for it.

1. Regarding gamer taste on aesthetic aspect: Gamers want realism and diversity. A fantasy game world still has to obey to common physics, societal rule, etc, everything we would expect if we want to immerse ourself in the game.
For example: Garald carries the swords scabbards on his back but not the hanging the swords 2 inches away on his back. The community where he visits demonstrate livelihood where people eat, work, sleep, chatting.
His adventures spans from a human dungeon to an dwarven town. Every where he travels, we see a different level customization. That is the diversity we expect -not the cut-n-paste random encounters.
A sample from the Witcher 2's art book: "The room, filledwith furniture, gives off the impression that the building is really lived in. We also couldn’t omit such details as mushrooms, herbs and sausages drying under the ceiling."
Yes, Bioware, I understand the wage different between Canada and Poland, but... please, add more labor in your game
2. Regarding the story: at least among my friends, we all agree that RPGs should convey the moral issues, politics in our real world and genuinely put them into the fantasy world.
For mature games, we don't want the senseless flashing blood and gore but the a "mature story lines" where hard decisions must be made. Nonetheless, the level of violence and sex should be accordingly appropriate to its content. I am satisfied with the Witcher 2.
3. RPGs will take the path of action RPGs: people expect good combats, good shows of martial arts and magics. The system of finishing moves in the Witcher 2 is very very rewarding, especially after we build up the character strong enough.
I saw revolutions with Neverwinter Night. I now see another revolution with the Witcher 2

Wow, Letho in the endgame fight was surprisingly easy. I just spammed heavy attack and kept parrying his attacks, and I downed him in almost 30 seconds. It even got to a point that his Aard wasn't effecting me, and he didn't Igni me once.
I had the Nilfgaardian sword, too. I don't know if that's the best sword in the game or not.

It's just more accessible. Standardized hardware leads to fewer hardware conflicts, manufacturers deliberately sell hardware at a loss and recoup the cost in game sales so it's hard for a similarly-specced PC to compete in price, and generally in a much more comfortable location (living room with a sofa vs. bedroom with chair).Archaven wrote...
I'm not sure what's the hype for console.. in fact PC can be turned to console easily and since most games support controller for PC now. We can play games in big screen LED TV with full HD, better visuals, keyboard and mouse, social networking, browsing, spreadsheet/word documents, etc. etc.
Anyhow i'm pleased they are porting to consoles since there are huge fanbase for consoles. It's worth grabbing the money and go for it.
Of course the downsides are a much lower performance ceiling, inability to make incremental upgrades (replacing CPU, video card, RAM, etc.), and becoming a slave to the warranty because you can't make you own repairs.

Yeah he was easy for me on Normal. I was using the Caerme as my final steel sword.

Letho is really easy as an endgame fight because he's a human in a very wide open space. 1 v 1 with freedom to roll is really easy in TW2. If they let Letho roll to avoid, then maybe the fight would be challenging. Funny, but challenging.

You can't want both, you can either want a wide-range of fantastical and realistic settings, or you just want realistic settings.littlemonster wrote...

Okay. But it's not physically possible for a human to draw a sword of that length from their back.A fantasy game world still has to obey to common physics, societal rule, etc, everything we would expect if we want to immerse ourself in the game.

Console gamers are a very large and very diverse group of people, but if I had to guess, I'd say they are on average quite a bit younger than regular PC gamers.
In today's self entitlted World, the difficulty will probably be shocking to them.....then again, I've heard that Demon's Souls is also very hard.
