Most of the notes for Patch 1.1 are now out (this patch will be released in a few hours):

"1. Simpler and more reliable game installation and activation. Details to be revealed soon.

2. Fixed the free Troll Trouble DLC download. It is now included n the patch so there's no need to download and install it separately.

3. Fixed an issue that prevented some users from downloading other free DLCs (the ones given out with some pre-orders, special promotions, etc). The launcher now properly refreshes the list of available DLCs and allows for installation. 

4. Performance improvements: approximately 5% to 30% better framerate and faster game loading for many users, depending on their individual systems and game versions. Owners of retail versions can expect the biggest improvements.

5. Fixed random crashes occurring on some systems, especially after saving and loading saves.

6. Key mapping – allows the arrow and number keys to be used for movement.

7. Added the option to invert the mouse.

8. nVidia surround vision now works properly.

9. More accurate assessment provided by the "auto-detect settings" option will help improve game performance.

10. Removed a bug that prevented completion of the “Blood Curse” quest.

11. Fixed a bug that prevented the additional link in "Extras" from being unlocked after winning the dice game against the GOG.com monk.

12. GOG.com credits now work properly.

The full list of all changes will be available upon the release of the patch. If you have experienced any issues that are not on the list above, please don't worry. We have already started working on the next patch, which will address other difficulties and bugs, including those related to specific hardware setups; e.g.. Logitech g35. You may expect this second patch to be ready next week.

Patch 1.1 will be available for all the versions of the game, both retail and digital, except for Russian.  However, we would like to assure our Russian fans that we are aware of the problems with the your version of the game (thanks for your reports!) and we are talking with 1C about possible solutions."

I was expecting to download the patch when I got home today, but it's still not available for download.

My biggest issue is with the memory leak. I have 6B of memory in my machine, but after playing long hours, I eventually CTD.

Using the GoG exe helped tremendously in that regard though, as it did in improving start up times. For some reason, the retail exe is ****ed up..

BTW, can anyone tell me if there is a way to remove armor enhancements?

No carfax, not that I know of.

And I just crafted the Draug Armor. Missed it in the first play through,



+25 AC
Vit +50
Reduction from magic +15%
Resistance to Incineration +50%
Resistance to Bleeding +50%
Resistance to Poisoning +50%
Damage Bonus on signs +6
3 slots.

I think I took what these gave off. Might of missed one maybe.

Studded leather reinforcement
Steal Plate enhancment
Magic wrap.

What I would like to know is this:

From a lore perspective, why is the hallowed Raven's armour from the first game, a piece of crap in terms of stats in the 2nd?

Those stats are impressive..  I'll be sure to look out for it.. 

I wanted to add the Kayran carapace enhancement to my Kayran armor, but I used all of the slots already.

I could go back to an earlier save, but I did that once already and I'm almost done with chapter 1.

why did you bother with this when you're 10 minutes from making the Vran armor which is much better?

Hmm.. I'd say that some reason means SecuROM! Argh!

Yeah, makes no sense! It was supposed to be the best ever! I wouldn't mind getting it later in the game with epic stats! I don't remember what is says in the Item tab of the Journal for Raven's though.

I only use enhancements with +2 Armor ... Buy the diagram for steel plate enhancement, +2/+10Vita, in Act 1! =)

Where do you buy it from?  That might be a compelling enough reason to go back to a previous save..

Yea the dwarf smith sells the diagram in Flotsam, diamond enhacement.

Probably so you wouldn't start out with an uber-armor, but I agree with you nevertheless, maybe they should've gone with a requirement like "Requires Geralt to spend 20 skill points before usage" or something.

Go to gamecopyworld and download it, then replace the exe and the other file.  Just remember to back up your retail versions first for when the patch is released.

Oh yeah, my bad... got the name wrong. Orbit is right, it is Diamond Armor Reinforcement +2AC /+10 Vita (EDIT correted name)

The patch is ready but we have encountered some problems with DLCs, therefore we had to postpone the patch release. We will inform you as soon as the situation changes.

I'd suggest wait for the patch. Due within today, hopefully! And it will make retail versions .exe into GoG's with same performance and all.

Remember as well that developers said that propably using GoG exe with retail version may cause very serious bugs, that might prevent you from accesing / finishing quests and other serious gameplay issues. This chance increase if you use save from retail version to continue playing on gog exe , and same if you later of roll back to retail exe using saves from gog exe times.

Since patch is going to be released very soon I think risk/gain ratio is very unfavourable imho.
