Seems to be a decent approximate. But the Twin Frozr Coolers are very good in terms of temperature to noise ratio. I like the cooler so much, I replaced my HD 6850 Toxic's cooler with someone else's HD 6870 Twin Frozr cooler. It's solid. Very good overclocking headroom for my HD 6850 w/ no voltage tweaking and I get 50-60c maximum with only 50% fan speed.

Here's a good guide.

thanks mrcrusty!.. is that the highest overclock you are getting? i  read many reviews saying that the OC can easily reach 1050MHz. have you tried that? i'm interested to know this though

I got it up to 1080MHZ yesterday stable.  But temps started getting up a little too high.  So I have it at 1025MHZ, and the temps don't cross 65c under load.  You have to start tweaking the voltage once you get past 950MHZ.

Edit: I use MSI afterbunner for overclocking.

Well but everything indicates that a console release is planned for TW2.

But since RED Engine is supposed to be scable don't see why they couldn't just downscale the graphics though I know nothing of programing just talking out of my ass.

Personally you can't go wrong with eVGA cards. I've always been able to get a big OC out of them.

I have the core at 1025, the shader at 2050, and the memory 2200.

Before I started messing with the voltage I had the core at 950, the shader at 1900, and the memory at 2100.

I leave the core and shader clocks linked, I haven't started tweaking them independent of each other yet.

I got my CPU up to 4.0 GHZ, now I have a steady 25-28 FPS with everything on including uber for my 2nd playthrough.

Wow those are impressive screenies. Can you do 1050/4400 without volt OC?

No, once you get the core speed past 950 you have to start tweaking the voltage. What I did was crank up the voltage and then I started raising the clock in increments of 10. When I got to 1000 I started going in increments of 5.

Prime95 is a good application to use for testing.

addan dieth

Except there's only one single fight in the game where resisting magic is important and that's an optional fight. And there is barely any fights left after that.
