Except there's only one single fight in the game where resisting magic is important and that's an optional fight. And there is barely any fights left after that.

path dependent theres more than 1 magic fight

my point is, add the right armour enhancements, wear the elder blood boots/gauntlets/trousers use the addan dieth/zerrikenternment with the right runes and all your resistances will be near as damnit 100%, no other armour can do this

the only cost is the plans for zerrkenternment....

Giant chicken appears

I was like WTF. Such an awesome moment.

Little details ftw

trivia:

one loooong crunchy night we were waiting for a game build in our company, everybody in our implementantion team was tired and sleepy, stupid-jokes mode ON, and my friend started planting resized penis-shaped mushrooms all around the chapter 2 level... an icing on the cake being ridiculously resized chicken... once he managed to run that in-game on his computer everyone was like... DUDE! Tha scale is awesome.. we've got to have that!

And so we figured out a quest around it. Talk about design documents, and coherent vision ;)

1. Regarding gamer taste on aesthetic aspect: Gamers want realism and diversity.

You can't want both, you can either want a wide-range of fantastical and realistic settings, or you just want realistic settings.

A fantasy game world still has to obey to common physics, societal rule, etc, everything we would expect if we want to immerse ourself in the game.

For example: Garald carries the swords scabbards on his back but not the hanging the swords 2 inches away on his back.

Okay. But it's not physically possible for a human to draw a sword of that length from their back.

Geralt is not an human its a mutant.. And i find the size of the witcher 2 swords very realistic in da 2 we have warriors that use a two handed sword like a staff...I also founded in the witcher 2 a sword called two handed sword.. An huge one.. But also extremely slow to use... I find this very cool than have sword with a long and large blade ala dragon age 2 and see the character move it like the wheigt is not present lol

The patch is out... It's not on their website yet due to some server issues, but the actual patch itself is done.

I installed it and I noticed an increase in FPS and in start up time on my retail copy.

No but you can angle the scarbbard so that it's not standing straight up. So now that you've run out of folks to argue with about DA2 being a "good" game, time to troll the witcher thread huh?

Since I don't recall even a peep about how rediculous 2 handers and attack speeds in general, work in da2 from you.

DA2 isn't a good game so I don't see the problem here?

Jesus, what goes on at the news DisqUs feed is terrifying.

The day they invent laser cannons orbiting in space, aiming at IP adresses is the day humanity can rejoice.

I guess it's at Act 2 Roche's Path, there was some ritual I didn't do and bribed my way to victory.

It's in Chapter 2.

<SPOILER-ish ALERT!>

When in the process of lifting the curse, the quest will require you to speak to someone called "The Visionary" to tell you all he knows, you can either bribe him or "learn from his teachings". If you choose the latter option he'll give you a potion and tell you to go to a certain place, and drink it. And the chicken appears. =]
I was pretty mind-blown the first time I saw it, because this is one of those things I never saw coming in a gazillion years.:D
I was on Roche's path btw, not sure if that happens with Iorveth since it's on a different path.

IOVERTH IS ****ING AWESOME

He so is!!! <3<3
And I loved the ending in my Iorveth playtrough. Now I have to do Roche, but makes me feellike a traitor/

True!  <3
I should have done Roche first....because I finished the Iorveth playthrough last night ( ok, reallllllly early this morning) and it was *perfect* I can't imagine playing through again and not siding with him after being through it all.   I am guessing I am going to have a second Iorveth one first making sure to hit all the quests and crafting I missed in the first....   And for what it is worth, it would make me feel like a traitor too!  :crying:  I don't regret anything from that playthrough, it was perfect....except of course the fact it makes any other one more difficult to even contemplate.;)

I am doing a second Iorveth playtrough aswell, cant let him go that easily. Think my first playtrough was perfect too, dont want to change it. I will play Roches eventually because I think they are both worth a go. But just not yet...

Love you banner by the way. Ioooooooorveeth<3

And he didn't even draw his plowin' sword. Thinks fair and fights fair too!

Sapkowski needs to make him canon.
(unlikely though):P

*Waves while giggling in fangirl fashion*

Okay penis shaped mushrooms makes me laugh, as does the over sized chicken. Makes me think of a joke: kinky is using a feather, perverted is using the whole damn chicken. In this case with penis shaped mushrooms. ROFL@
