I don't know what's more funny. The fact that Geralt looks unsurprised after. That the poor Kaedweni probably never knew what hit him. Or that Roche yells "f*ck!"

Not sure if Bioware is entirely to blame, I'm thinking EA bean counters. Profit>Good will towards the consumer.

Anyone with the Steam version is this 9gig the patch?! Over half the size of the game! Also did not know the patch removes DRM from every version that's awesome, even if the Steam version has no Securom still great.

The reason steam is downloading so much is because it makes changes to a file, so in steam's infinite wisdom, it deletes said file and redownloads it.

Except that file is packed up and it redownloads the whole thing.

Yep, you can email some automated emails and get them all automatically

those are the links from said emails. They also have no drm on it. unlike originally.

Just finished the game (Roche playthrough). Comparing this game to DA2 is impolite to The Witcher 2, that is a game crafted with passion, effort, and love, DA2 is a cash-in. Fantastic game - maybe *slightly* short but when you consider replaying it with the other path opens up 5-6 hours of completely different quests, that is excusable. Plus all DLC will be free so in a year or two the game will be longer, much like ME2 (and DA:O to some extent but too many of DA:O's DLC were separate modules).

Damn Patch.

The manual install failed, and then when I tried to run the game it said it was incompletely installed, so I did a fresh install, now it keeps trying to patch the game and saying communication error. Then it starts all over again.

Well.. sucks Aaleel but look on Gog forums.

"I now have EVERYTHING maxed (yes even ubersampling) and the game is running 30fps, this is on a single overclocked GTX 560TI and an i7 cpu. Impressive ' - buckethead.

Depends on your version but the performance seems to vary.

Excellent! That was the only thing that was close to annoying me about the game.

OK I figured it out, there's something wrong with their servers. I downloaded the Day 0 patch from another place and installed that one and the new one, and now it works fine.

28-33 FPS with everything including uber on.  Perfect.

Edit:  But the best thing about the patch is that I no longer have to wait 30 secs for the game to launch.
