It's a finisher move the attacks that show a short cutscene when you attack an enemy who has been stun.

When did you hear about the servers? I just downloaded the dlc and it's acting funny it shows up weird...

Is this happening for anyone else? There are 3 Ultimate suits in my DLC , umm folder, and no idea if it's installed and when launching it seems to go back to the launcher again.

I just used an nvidiainspector tweak to enable SLI, so I'm hoping I can turn my settings up a bit more when this patch gets downloaded (and maybe the patch will help, too). There's a newer beta driver out, but I'm not quite sold on the game enough yet to download it.

What would constitute a monster system then?

The processor I have is a monster.

But after that a monster system is like a rampage motherboard, or some other high end motherboard.  SLI with like 2 580s, or two high end video cards, Liquid cooling, etc. I spent less than $800 on mine, counting the CPU, Motherboard, RAM, Video Card, Tower & heatsink.  People that say you have to spend $1000 or more to make a good PC are crazy.

Not sure if they were intended that way, but after I installed all of them they all showed up in Geralt's inventory.

Even on my about 20 months old lappy.......loading times are almost gone after installing the patch. LUFF!

If ONLY Fable III were half as stable. (It keeps crashing for no apparent reason)

That's a shame I was thinking about getting it eventually. Anywhere near as good as the original? Second one imo blows.

Question about the Ultimate Swordsman suit. Is it an actual piece of armor I read on some forums it's a "suite" just a bunch of items and not armor.

Some random times, Geralt will begin doing random moves that one-shot enemies and trap him in a mini-cutscene before dropping him back in combat in an unfavorable position. The finisher pack is simply to add more variety in the finishers.

Yeah, when you use the Adrenaline or Special Action moves ... they add different finishing moves.

The packs are:

alchemy_suit.dlc - Herbalist's Gloves + a pack of ingredients (ultimate)
swordsman_suit.dlc - Adds 10 Whetstones and Whirls pots - Not sure if anything else (ultimate)
magical_suit.dlc - Mage's Trousers (ultimate)
roche_jacket.dlc - Roche's Armor
dlc_finishers.dlc - More finishing moves
merchant.dlc - Misterious Merchant

As far as I can tell it's just a bunch of oils and that sort of thing. No armor pieces like the Mage and Alchemy sets.

Wow... I am only a few hours into Iorveth's path and I infinitely prefer this over Roche's path. Even though I still don't like Iorveth very much. But Saskia and Phillipa make up for it. I wished Roche went this way instead.

And the patch has given me a mild FPS boost on my ancient 8800GT. I can get 15-30 FPS, depending on the situation, on a mixture of medium/high settings. That is fine by me until my GTX 560 Ti arrives in a few weeks (need to scrap together the money first).

Can't believe Roche went with that douche Henselt... Sigh.

"failed applying patch to Witcher 2 blah, blah, f*cking blah". I'm getting impatient with CD red, get the damn patch out, the website up, and your servers working for christsake.

Couldn't really tell ya for certain. After about 20 crashes (Not just back to desktop but crashes that required a cold restart) I gave up on it. What I could play of it was fun.......(Starting out with a really gutwrenching decision) Strangely enough, I had no performance issues, nada. Everything works just fine until....The game would freeze, audio would loop and my lappy would die. No other game ever did that on my lappy. *Sad*

Huh.. no problem whatsoever. Did you get yours from your account page at GoG's? Any error message?

Download the right patch. I had this problem and discovered that I was using the wrong one.

Make sure to extract the GoG update file somewhere, then right click-> run as Administrator.  The same thing happened to me when I took shortcuts(I usually run the exe from within winrar preview - this file doesn't work like that, at least on Windows7) and didn't do both of those things. Once I did, the patch installed quickly.
