Do any of these reviewers even realize there is an extensive in-game tutorial in the journal? Listening to the video review sums it up nicely: gamers want their hand held nowadays. Trial and error is too painful.

Lol, he started with the dragon attack part, serves him right.

I've yet to see a credible low rated TW2 review, bring it on!

is there an official OST release? because i personally love the music especially the one on the main menu.

It comes with the game.

I'm actually quite impressed by the Journal. It's Dandelion's to boot and so well done. Covers absolutely everything. That ****** has got my respect now!

I thought Witcher 2 was terrible and probably the biggest disappointment of gaming in recent years (i liked the first). But that's me

It's okay. There's people out there who thought DA2 was a masterpiece and that Twilight is the greatest book series of the last decade, so you don't have to worry, you're not the only person in the world with bad taste.

So not liking TW2 & liking DAII means one has "bad taste"? <_<

What are those who like both? Freaks?:innocent:

We're definitely freaks! (though I still add Origins to the mix, more than I would the sequel)

Lol, I appreciate how the developers kept everything in character. It's kind of uncommon nowadays.

"An abnormally formed organism, especially a person or animal regarded as a curiosity or monstrosity."

You like both Witcher 2 and Dragon Age 2.

...

So, I'm afraid the answer is yes, Persephone.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this already, anyway latest The Witcher 2 review:

http://www.escapistm...of-Kings-Review

It got a 3.5 out of 5. It's the same reviewer who gave Dragon Age 2 a 5 out of 5. That will teach CDProjekt to not recycle environments and make button pressing more awesome.

I just wonder how they manage to miss all of those UI pop-ups that pretty much tell you how to do everything as you're doing it. I guess reading is just a little too much to ask of them.

The UI pop-ups are basic introductory info. More detailed info is in the journal. The player must figure out the rest. That's how it should be.

I wonder how a game like Zelda would be reviewed if it were released today. When it first came out, gamers were expected to navigate that vast world with virtually none of the conveniences we're used to now.

I'm not trolling. Witcher 2 is a terrible game. The first was good. That is all

But why is it terrible!

Too hard to open a journal or take your time in combat?

I cringe whenever I have to ring up a Twilight book...and sometimes people have the audacity to ask me do I know any good books and I dare to recommened "Madame Bovary" but such is life right? You can only give your opinion yet people won't even give it a try.

I don't know about you guys, but I would prefer CDP made DLC like they did for TW1. Side stories that didn't tie to the main plot of the game, but added depth to the setting, and too inspiration from the source material.

The one DLC I would LOVE to see is Geralt's hunt for Yennefer. Could you imagine fighting the Slizard that almost killed Letho? Or the showdown with the King of the Wild Hunt at the Hanged Man Tree?

Yeah, I'm slow as molasses and still playing Act 1 on my first run, but after not playing it the past couple days and getting the new AMD drivers plus the patch, performance is greatly improved and combat feels much more responsive (1GB 5770).

Or the showdown with the King of the Wild Hunt at the Hanged Man Tree?

I'm thinking that's in TW3.

Speaking of which, while I am very excited for more of The Witcher, there is one thing that worries me and that's the Wild Hunt. As of yet, I am intrigued by the concept, but what I am worried about is that the Wild Hunt will end up as a big bad impersonal evil force of darkness that we have to kill, which will stand in sharp contrast to TW1 and 2 in that they both had much more human and even sympathetic antagonists. Indeed in TW2, they even give you the option to spare the main antagonists.

So please make the Wild Hunt something moe complex and sophisticated than Blight / Burning Legion / Reapers...etc.

I bet on an elven invasion from another realm to remove human dominance here.
I see the Wild hunt as a scouting party.
Could be completly wrong of course.
