I am primarily a console gamer, so should I get it now for the PC, or should I wait to see if they will announce the game for Xbox?

Well if it drops to 0 i wouldn't bother .. it only tells you that most reviewers only review games that they have no background of and or no interest in. They are reviewing just for the sake that they are doing their 'job'.
There's a huge difference in just doing a 'job' than doing an 'excellent job'. If a developer put no efforts and love onto developing a game.. you end up just having A GAME. If a developer puts their heart and love with undying effort in games, then you have a masterpiece.
What range is the more repeated review? In a place such as Metacritic, where it seems everyone can post even if it´s nonsense, that would be a better statistic (mode in English?) than the media.

Hi all...havent been here since..page 170 O_o I think? LOL
I have to share... I really like the combat. It could be better, more fluid, but I dig it!
I'm playing on hard and gotta admit the game isnt HARD...its UNFORGIVING!I use the parry/riposte + signs and its efficient in every battle. Possitioning and battleplan is crucial. As having 4 of vigor at the start of act II
Yes, vigor is very important I must say. I learned hard to appriciate it, not the damage, not the critical effects, but the tiny little thing that helps you to hold by a thread at the brink of annihilation ;D
Also, there is lots of running around when it comes to wrights. Eeevery time I meet'em
So how's the experience for you?
BTW I red somewhere they sold about 200K units by that time. Is it a large number? What do you think?
If the game is just selling 200K compared to DA2 2Million+.. Then i have to yell myself out what have earth became? Why sh!t games sells when awesome game don't? So CDPR must develop sh!t games so they will sell well too..
No... Week (one) sales NOT including digital sales was 212k on the PC aka the only format it's on right now. IF compare with DA2 week one sales on PC only to make the comparrison I'm sorry to break it to you but they only sold around 45k in week one on PC. TW2 digital sales are expected to double the initial figure of 212k for first week when tak into account steam, gog and d2d. So your looking at around 400-500k week one sales on ONE platform (PC). ME2 on PC week one sales was only 146k ish so again it's more successfull on the platform it was released on than both of Biowares titles.
I take that the 212K retail copies are fact since it was accumulated sales by retailer worldwide. As for the additional 300K from digital sales it's just pure assumption though. There is a report that before the game released there is 110K sales from pre-orders. Very likely that the 212K mostly including pre-orders. Anyhow i wish CDPR success and hopefully the weeks go by, sales of Witcher 2 will still be strong.
Any information on sales chart this week for Witcher 2?

-There are many, many reviews that never make it to Metacritic. Given the unprofessional nature of some that are, I'm seeing Metacritic for what it is...a farce.
-In regard to unresponsive controls, ie; press a button nothing happens ( ha,ha) other people are reporting this as well, and it must be a bug.
-People, lets try to be respectful of those critical of the game. Addai does not deserve to be called a troll or Biodrone because she is neither.
-Addai, there are already mods that alter combat at Nexus, no doubt there will be more in the coming weeks. I think you should consider trying the game with some combat tweaks, I know I will eventually.

It's pretty likely that they'll be announcing an XBOX version pretty soon (it has an ESRB rating and everything) so it might be worth waiting. I've got a pretty good laptop and Witcher 2 makes it cry on anything above low settings haha.

Well as it's only been out a week and that figure of 212k is the first weeks sales not including digital copies, will have to wait a week to find out 2nd weeks sales.
Witcher 2
Format ~ PC (not including digital sales)
Week 1
Americas 45,282
Japan N/A
EMEAA 166,947
Worldwide 212,229
Running Total 212,229
Dragon Age 2
Format ~ PC (not including digital sales)
Week 1
Americas 89,198
Japan N/A
EMEAA 54,632
Worldwide 143,830
Running Total 143,830
Most of sales for DA2 are for consoles, when and if TW2 comes on consoles which is their intent I believe then expect a simular pattern to follow there with TW2 outselling DA2 there too.

They will announce the game in xbox this coming E3. Anyway the game won't look as beautiful as in PC as that is a known fact for the limitation of older generation hardware of the consoles. My preference is PC but if your preference is xbox then i suggest you wait for it.
If you don't mind for a change that you will also play games on PC, then i suggest you buy it. But i don't think in anyway that you can play it on your laptop.

Nice, I don't really care about graphics that much. As long as it runs well on consoles and plays as well. Most games do, so I don't need to worry too much.

What volatile and partly paranoid behavior are you talking about, give examples.

Respect for someone who says the game is **** because they just don't like the combat type?
I am sorry, but it would be like playing Counterstrike when you don't like FPS games and then going around saying the game is a piece of crap. You would get flamed for that you get flamed for this.
As for sales charts, don't believe them for PC ( when they will include stuff like steam and gog then we can talk ).

I completely agree with you there. Addai has been repeating endlessly in all her post that Witcher 2 is a piece of crap when she wanted the combat exactly like Witcher 1. She is not wrong to have her own preference but claiming it as a piece of crap repetitively really irks everyone.
I dislike Witcher 1 combat and the game is great as i played the game for it's stories so i can carry it over to Witcher 2. She is in the minority there where it was widely known that Witcher 1 combat was not well received by the MAJORITY.

*SPOILER ALERT*
Hmmm paranoid was quite an off statement there. My mistake. Not the proper word i was looking for but at least let's I can give some of my insights based on MY playthrough.
During the first encounter with Henselt, Geralt helped him and Dethmold through the battlefield. Whatever Geralt's motivations could be, he still helped the king.
Second, Geralt removed Sabrina's curse on the king, again Geralt's motivations were still not sincere yet he removed any potential of the curse endangering the King itself.
Third, Geralt defended the King from an assassination attack (which what i think now is actually a sincere attempt by Geralt because of Mr. Foltest's corpse lecturing him).
Fourth, he promised to solve the conspirator's case and uncovered Sile as the brains behind at least one kingslaying. Take note that Henselt didn't allow Geralt to officially leave camp unless the curse was lifted. (This show the King's craftiness but also somewhat a lil greed).
Fifth, he lifted the curse of the battlefield and allowed Kaedwin open access to Vernon.
So essentially, Geralt helped Kaedwin in a lot of ways.
Now here's what i dont get about Henselt; the apparent ease for him to dismiss all of those and spit on Geralt's face. Geralt wasn't involved in any conspiracy, yet the King opted to act otherwise. (Dethmold has a huge role in this ofc). And he wouldn't change this outlook (evident at Philippas room when he had no intention of letting Geralt out alive) It was even implied that the Blue Stripes themselves weren't involved in the conspiracy (no evidence to this however). Also outright hanging without due process is sick, so i guess it was personal
It made him a douche (CDP was outright successful in making him so. Good work). So yes I let Roche gut the fellah. "You wouldn't dare" my arse.
Anyway we all have our own experiences and outlooks in the game and that's what made it successful.
*SPOILER END*
So maybe it was pretty damn personal after all.
PS. Still cant get over Vandergrift's menacing voice

That's actualy smart. A good way to "internationalize" Polish culture or at least give it more international weight.
And hopefully, that will boost sales.

The Witcher saga, both books and games are real highlights for Poland, keep in mind the country is still young. It's not surprising, though I wonder what kind of media the US is going ot do if Obama endorses the game. Another Fox news fiasco just like Mass Effect?

It's just going to sit on his shelf, in all honesty. But that would be cool.
