I shall certainly look forward to The Witcher 2. 1 was awesome and it seems that 2 improved upon it in every aspect.

The new Triss worries me a bit though. Old one looked much better.

I don't see anything on the streaming page, just a schedule card listing the time it's supposed to start

Suprising: all versions are uncensored

/Edit: Damn, have forgotten the post from Krusty84

Retail copies have Securon Release control (like dragon age 2) but unlimited installs on unlimited machines, with max. 5 running at the same time. No DRM with gog
/edit: not sure about steam drm.

what does "preload only on gog" mean?

Did they say that we can't pre-load our Steam version?

That was part of the reason why I bought it on Steam.

is that confirmed?

If so, I would appreciate a link. The picture you posted doesn´t mean it is uncensored, sadly, at least for Germans.

There´s a couple of games that are censored in germany and are still rated Adult only for the reasons stated there....

As far as I understand, yes

/Edit Recap now online here

That really blows if that is the case.

So far, on the posted recap quoted below, I didn't see any mention that the pre-load was exclusive for GOG, which is a good sign, but I'm still worried since you mention it was on the streaming video. Part of the reason I buy games on Steam is so that I can pre-install and begin playing at 12:01am on launch day, which usually seems to be the case.

Starting on May 10, everyone who pre-order The Witcher 2 on GOG.com will be able to pre-purchase the game and download 90% of the build, so they can play the game on release day! So if you haven't pre-ordered the game yet, you'd better do that before May 16! More details on The Witcher deals can be foundhere.

Pre-downloading such huge game like The Witcher 2 is some serious business, and you'd need some serious downloader to do that. That's where the GOG.com Spring Site Update comes in! Late April we'll introduce a brand new, improved and slick GOG Downloader which will allow you to download all your GOG games fast and easy

The live stream was the first time I've seen some decent combat footage. It's looking fantastic, even if the stream was blocky, and not-so-flattering for the visual bells and whistles.

Glad to see that GOG will be including The Witcher Enhanced Edition Director's Cut, and at 50% off starting May 10th. I would have held off buying the game last month if I had known that.  Oh well, the hard copy has a lot of good content, and I still got the game pretty cheap, just not GOG cheap.;)

Am I the only person who doesn´t like Triss? Don´t mean her looks, but her personality. Even without reading the books, she is quite manipulative and taking advantage of Geralt´s amnesia in more sense than one.

She is. But some (me, for example^^) might find that fascinating rather than objectionable.

I agree. In TW she even urges Geralt to develop a new personality and not to look back at the past, how convenient.

Hopefully Geralt's memory will come back in the sequel and he will realize he's having a tryst with the wrong sorceress.

I hope the right sorceress appears and has a few words with her.

To anyone who has read the last book. Did Triss at least back down in her decission of not helping Yennefer at all when she went to the sea?
