Exactly. I have friends that would like to play it but they might as well have a 486 for a home pc. I just want them to be able to play the game and see how great it is.Alpha-Centuri wrote...
I think most "PC Elite" players don't care if games are multiplatform. They just want the PC version to take advantage of the greater technology that is capable on PC.

Any news on a PS3 port? My friends are jealous after seeing me fight the Kayran and are hoping it gets ported.
I'd bet it'll follow the ME2 route, about a year or so after its released on 360, it'll come to the PS3.. if hackers havent blown up Sonys network.

Lol what's that supposed to mean? Because they did a console port their future games aren't going to be as good?
You forget that TW2 was planned from the start to be ported to consoles thanks to the RED Engine which can optimize to console hardware.
Not to mention TW1 was 'attempted' to be ported to consoles too.

I see people bringing this up, and I don't see it possible for EA to buy out CD Projekt RED.
CD Projekt RED is a studio under the parent company of CD Projekt who specialize in electronic home entertainment for the majority of Eastern Europe, therefore they are already 'owned' by somebody.
I doubt CD Projekt would readily sell out their popular studio just like that.

No, cdp main market is Europe. And Witcher, Gothic, Risen, Arx Fatalis and obsidian games are the kind of games we love.

It's not about wanting to deny other gamers the experience. It's about wanting an experience tailored to our platform of choice. This is why we're so cautious when it comes to multiplatform projects. Let's face it, PC gamers more often than not gets the shaft. Dragon Age II was just another demonstration of this.
They'd have to be utter fools to do that. Compare the sales of The Witcher 2 to the sales of Dragon Age II.Remus Artega wrote...

Well I've heard off many similar answers when I voiced my opinion on CE3 and thus C2 becoming multiplatform reassuring that this will not happen because CryTek are loyal to PC and so on...and bang in PC version "Press Start to begin" blinking in a game which is already forgotten unlike it's predecessor...when money talks no matter how solid you are in you belief you'll start to dance how they whistle sooner or later...
The difference here is Crysis 2 was made at the same time for all systems Witcher 2 was not. If CDProjekt continues to make games and release them when they're ready no matter the console then I'll buy them. They used the PC' hardware capabilities and I assume they'll do the same with the 360.

Again, how do you make that conclusion?
I can only guess it's because of the Witcher 2 port to consoles. But you must know that the RED Engine (the engine designed for TW2) was created with console in mind and can optimize the game and future cames to consoles in the same way.
