No inventory fixes? Seriously? Will the mouse cursor still drag? Do we get stat comparison in stores? Is the alchemy panel fixed? Do we get a junk category? Can we sort items? Have they increased text size in the inventory stat panel?

Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled with the new fixes and I truly appreciate them doing this, but the damn consolized inventory is one of the most broken parts of the game. I was hoping they would start fixing it.

I hear ya! But let them fix gameplay issues first. If the unresponsive attack (sign cast bug and other stuff similar) is fixed in 1.2, I'll gladly wait for another patch to fix the "cosmetics" ! =)

Patch 1.2 notes

Islamic–themed and similar textures have been deleted and/or replaced.

WTH is this about.

What?
I didn't notice anything Islamic. And nothing to be offended of as a Muslim.

^^^ Apparently it's a rug in brothel, which from a religious standpoint, I find rather fitting. They should have kept it and let people get their panties in a bundle.

Since when a rug is supposed to represent a religion?

It's probably a Persian inspired rug. More representative of a ciivlization. And something I don't find offensive at all.

I'm sure it went down like this:

The guy who got upset noticed that the only thing remotely Islam related was located in a brothel. He then came to the conclusion that it was a subtle jab at Muslims, and filed a complaint.

Here is the rug in Question.

The one leaning against the wall, looks like a mosque I guess.

It does. And now I remember seeing it.

Meh. Wasn't really affected.

Most likely the case, and I agree. But the modern climate for this stuff is, as we all know, hypersensitive.

On another topic: how is their dlc for free practice going to fly with Microsoft?

I'm a PC player, but I think TW2 should be available for all platforms. Why CDProjektRED only chose 360?

I have a friend who only has a PS3, I may have to lend him my Xbox so he can play this. No telling when it will come out on PS3.

Probably got a better deal from Microsoft than Sony. The XBox uses the Xenon (IBM) which is a modified version of the Cell Processor used by Sony (which was developed with IBM and Toshiba). So the port should be possible for both systems at the same time.

It probably won't. But maybe by the time it comes out on 360 they'll bundle the existing DLC on the disc. Its like how Valve is forced to have Left 4 Dead DLC for fee on 360 while its free on PC.

They already said all DLC and patches will be on the 360 disc at launch. Dunno what they're going to do beyond that, but we'll see.

That's what I find really stupid. They are allowed to release two free dlc for a game I think at most. This is why TF2 and L4D suck on the consoles imo. I can play Cold Stream right now for free I have  TF2 and it's a completely different beast on the PC.

Does Sony do the same bull**** on PS3?

Maybe the DLC/fixes thing will be packaged in the game, kind of like GOTY editions have all previous DLCs, but obviously not game of the year yet. I don't really know

Slimgrin, there's a quick change to a .ini file you can make that will ensure the mouse doesn't stutter as much. Just google something along the lines of 'witcher 2 mouse .ini fix'.

CDPR could have simply provided a different UI for the PC and console versions. It's very little work for the amount of customer love they would have received in return. Then again, if UI wasn't as it is at present, console gamers would have had to look hard for evidence that this game was made with them in mind, too.

It's interesting to see how marketing and game design intersect.

@Bejos. Thanks for the advice. Mouse lag was a simple fix afterall. For those experiencing mouse lag in the menus:

1 Turn off Vsync 2 Adjust your mouse DPI 3 Go into Documents\\Witcher 2\\Config (or "C:\\Users\\(Your User Name)\\Documents\\Witcher 2\\Config") and open User.ini in notepad and set... [MouseInput] SensitivityX=0 SensitivityY=0 Smoothness=0
