So they removed a carpet in a brothel that likely annoyed some muslim player of the game ( or perhaps multiple muslim players ).

Frankly in this day and age where Muslims have been trashed around so badly it's a wise idea to not mention them in game, at all. I think it's a gesture of respect towards muslims...though personally as a christian I would care less if they had placed an icon of Virgin Mary there.

I wouldn't be worried about them scraping anything else.

Oh and nudity is something that goes against all the major religions I think.

I always find it odd that violence , blood , etc don't get nearly as much "outrage" as nudity or sex does.
Actually I would prefer that my child see naked woman/man or even sex sceen in game than flying body parts, death , suffering and oceans of blood. But well maybe that just cultural diffrences.

more on topic:

Not to mention that Witcher II is 18+ game , but I guess Foxnews and other media looking for sensation would not concern themself with such "details".

Yeah and I have to tell game is getting patched quite fast. Seem Witcher team still have busy days at work :)

And that's why, for the moment, I love these guys.

They might change in the future, if they get truly big... But right now, their mentality is so refreshing in the gaming market you have to respect it.

Well, who knows... It may also depend on the successes (or lack there of) of Bioware itself. :P For now, Bioware is, if not qualitative than at least ideological pioneer of the RPG genre (cinematics, hybrids, multiplayer?) and if they indeed find a way how to address a larger market with games made in shorter development cycles, then many companies will follow.

I tend to stay way out of this thread, but come on I'm sure Fox is the only one that has a problem with it. Hell I can't even count the number of times NBC has called out GTA everytime a black kid shoots someone. As to the gore, most parents don't bother watching what kids play, my nephew had GTA VC when he was 7. Too many in the US see games as being for kids. So when someone thats a kid goes out and shoots someone its GTA, when kids (as in 14 years old as the case was in my school) go borking in the bath room its Mass Effect. Most parents and the society at large is more ready to blame someone else rather then owning up to the problem.

Hell even Political parties and members such as most noteably Hillary Cliton wants to basically place bans and restrictions on the products, and it happens in Europe often. God forbid people run thier own affiars and learn the age raitings. If you buy cigs for someone thats underaged you can go to jail or be fined, why not do that with games?

On the Islam issue, are you surprised? I mean really forget about that guy who drew Muhammad in a cartoon in Denmark I think it was, and lost his head for his troubles, nvm the fact all the riots that broke out as a result? Fox and NBC may **** moan and make demands, but it never has sat a city on fire or cut off your head in a dissagreement. CD is just covering its neck, litterally lulz.

Y'know, some intense pondering. This little bit of dialogue could be a hidden jab to DA2's "It's raining men!"

:devil:
:lol:

...

:whistle:

Ah, way to stay classy, CDPR ... I thought the AC jab was good, clean humour. This, not so much.

CD Projekt Red explains what's changing in the console version.

"Any DLC we've created for the PC game will be included in the console
version. And the other way around, the new gameplay and cutscenes we're
developing for the 360 release will be available for PC gamers for free
as DLC. We have some very interesting plans in this regard, but it's
still early to talk about them. We intend to provide more details at
Gamescom in August."

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

I think CDPR has very savvy business people at its helm. Instead of assuming that there is an infinite amount of customers (which is never true for ANY business), like most big companies do, they are taking the utmost care to make sure their customers are happy.
What essentially happens in most industries is that customers shuffle around between companies based on how happy or dissatisfied they are with a company, and because all big companies in all industries treat their customers poorly, this shuffle is continuous.
I'm happy to see that at least one big(ish) company is realising that if they can hold onto their base and build on that, they will have a good thing going. Rockstar is another company that has realised this.
EA is working from a last-century business model.

Why does the patcher always reset my config including my remapped keys? Since I have a backup of it in another HD, just copying the old one over fix it, right?

BTW, mouse works a lot better on game menus with:

[MouseInput]
SensitivityX=0
SensitivityY=0
Smoothness=0

Why isn't it default? Or has it changed in 1.2?

Not sure but will experiment after installing the 1.2 patch.

I hope Geralt is more responsive after the 1.2 patch as i had problems with my keyboard, sometimes key commands were very slow.

LOL@Prologue.

I tried to start a new Insane run, real Hardcore with no bonus/imported items but the game keeps throwing them back at my inventory and equipping them at new Prologue phase. Guess I'll have to wait till Act 1 for that! =)

Dwarven Braided.

Shaven + Low

And theres another besides the TW1 hair, it's like the Shaven, but without the shaven sides.
