Who'd seriously want to see Geralt's shlong?
Not the point, but I'm sure there are plenty of people, if some of the comments in this thread are anything to go by.

My point is, if women aren't allowed to see Geralt walking around naked, why are men allowed to have a full view of Triss magic-ing her clothes away? Yes, sure, society's unfair, blah blah, ipsum dolor ad nauseum-- my point is, I appreciate the fact that Bioware tries to make sure that women and men get parity of content.
There was a thread like this at CD red before the game released. Some people were pissed that we saw full female nudity, and not full male nudity. The difference as I see it is a purely physical one. You see a woman walking around naked, it's ****** and pubic hair. You see a man doing the same, and you see him in all his majesty. The genitalia is simply...out there. This simple fact has a bearing on nudity as depicted in movies as well as games. So equality, there is not. It's how nature made us.

There is also a long troll thread Op'ed by some biodrone, at GoG's, bashing CDPR because he can't have a gay Geralt while Bioware's chars are all so gay or something like that...
Yeah, I wouldn't want it to change. People need their niches.slimgrin wrote...

I'd say we're looking at another 10, maybe 20 years, depending on how obtuse more traditional people plan on being.Ringo12 wrote...

Dunno, if someone already posted this already, but there is an amazing review of TW2 on IGNCombined with the remarkable environment design and to a lesser degree the decent writing and voice acting, the atmosphere of The Witcher 2 is one of unrivaled authenticity. The fast-paced swords and sorcery combat system, though not without quirks, provides plenty of entertainment, and the crafting and alchemy systems mean there's incentive to explore and collect. The Witcher 2 is alternately offensive and endearing, grimy and gorgeous, and never ceases to surprise. It's one of the great titles of 2011, and one of the best role-playing games in years.

Great one! "The Witcher 2 assumes that players are moderately intelligent..." LOL
@Ringo - I definitely have no problem with that as well. But I liked Origins better when I would need to provoke it and not like DA2 where it's thrown at me and all chars are gay, bissexual or just pervert. What about eunucs? We need some eunucs and frigid biatches in games too! For balance, you know... =)

I guess Aveline's the frigid one. Zevran's the pervert ... Everyone else is bisexual. But, damn, no eunuchs!RageGT wrote...

First Geralt's Memory Flashback sound problems
Had this since v1.0 but only now I decided to ask! =) Does anyone else have this too? The narration is not fluid. It cuts off all the time and back, like a .wav file gone wrong. If it's just me, is there a way to fix it?

They really need to DLC Act 3, in a major way.
Also, the more times I replay the game, the more irritated I am with the prologue. Triss is naked but Geralt isn't? I understand why (you don't get to see Triss' vag, after all), and I'm not hankering for the sight of an imaginary penis, but the scene grates more and more each time I've watched it.
Little disparities in how they treat this or that issue have me SMH.
Bioware's better at that, at least. I much prefer the way they treat their audience in that regard.

So the new patch is out? Sorry, probably dumb question.
Oh and I agree! Eunuchs! BioWare needs eunuchs.

I started another playthrough despite not finishing it yet, and I have 3 things to say.
1. I enabled French vo's for the hell of it, and they sound great. No, I don't know French, but somehow the solid voice acting comes across.
2. This game reacts to decisions like no other RPG I have played. Conversation options can get you killed, dead. Other scenes play out that I didn't even see before. If all of it was laid end to end, this would probably be a 50 hr game, easily.
3. Since the latest patch, hard is the new normal. It's much easier, at least in the intro. Everyone b*tching about combat imbalance, shut up and give the game a try.

CDPR is the company I've been waiting for ever since I first played Quest for Glory 4. A focus on story, mood, and adventure has been missing for far too long ...I'd say we're looking at another 10, maybe 20 years, depending on how obtuse more traditional people plan on being.Ringo12 wrote...
