Those aren't eunuchs, those are just members of a Boy Band starting up in Kirkwall...no, wait, same thing.

They're Justin Beiber backup dancers.

Seriously. Who ever designed those DA2 NPC's needs to be beaten with a large trout.

Getting the snot beat out of you by a large dead fish is quite humuliating and more effective than pitchforks.

I started another playthrough despite not finishing it yet, and I have 3 things to say.

1. I enabled French vo's for the hell of it, and they sound great. No, I don't know French, but somehow the solid voice acting comes across.

2. This game reacts to decisions like no other RPG I have played. Conversation options can get you killed, dead. Other scenes play out that I didn't even see before. If all of it was laid end to end, this would probably be a 50 hr game, easily.

3. Since the latest patch, hard is the new normal. It's much easier, at least in the intro. Everyone b*tching about combat imbalance, shut up and give the game a try.

1. Je ne parle pas francais!

2. Definitely! And it's funny and a bit idiot to try some of those dialogue options (SPOILER attack Roche /SPOILER) while in Insane mode!

3. The ballista fight seemed to be easied a bit but I went straight on to combat in that other part of the prologue, past the drowners, and got killed! And it was Insane! But it's ok now, I can get past Prologue real fast with all the experience I have at it but those frakkers are still hitting hard if we are careless! =]

I think whoever made those NPCs was beaten with a trout, and that was the problem behind it all. But...

It would be better if it was a large, undead trout with Frankenstein bolts in it's neck. Zombie trout club time! Now THAT would be entertainment!

With the release of the new patch it appears they made the game easier. Is there anyway for modders to tell what changes to the difficulty were made to possibly revert them? I wanted to see what everyone was talking about with the difficulty. I just don't want to have to to sacrifice the bug fixes and improvements to the interface and game to do it.

I just started Act 4 of the Witcher. I need to finish it.

ACT 4 ? Are you saying about first Witcher ? Well, you should start on normal and if you what it takes, switch to hard. Also you can switch combat difficult in options.
Best example (on hard with patch 1.2). I was fighting some kind of golem in act II. My shield drop right before i got hit by him.

I lost something like 90% of the HP.

Best part - some kind of monsters love to sorround you. Then it's harder to get away and they only need few hits to destroy your shield if you have it and kill you. Even when shield is on max.

So I think that game is good. But they should add dificoult settings after Hard (not sudden death) because when you get used to fighting style and you learn how to utilize gerald abilities (signs, alchemy, dodge, traps, firecrackers and stuff) then it's not so hard on hard :-D But loot of people still complain that it is hard. So it depends on the point of view (some people say that Hitman is hard when i say it's easy - like most hitman fans).

Guys, I just got this game and all I can say it has lame intro and pretty title screen.

Now reason why I still didn't start new game is because it has save import.
Now I seriously don't like Witcher 1 but I did find out on Steam forums to download save.

But my question is should I do it and how default new game effects story?

I read that you can import your item's, weapons and armor to it so I kinda feel like cheating since I didn't beat first game.

And I really wish to know what's in default new game for story. I don't want to have something like with ME2 default story( all Renegade) and then play as a good guy.

I would go with the Save import.

The armor and weapons will carry over to TW2, same goes for additional content and lotsa decisions(letting the princess live in TW1 etc.)

Thanks.

Though now I'm looking for other save.
That one has romance and I do not want to have one since I don't know those characters.

It doesn't really matter who were you romancing in TW1 since at the start of TW2 you are already in a relationship with Triss. :(

OK, never mind then.

I'll go and play that game.
Also how do I make Witcher 2 detect my TW1 save? Is it same with ME2?

A few tips:

Blocking (E button) requires stamina
Use the evade roll(Space) a lot, since getting hit will stagger you for a bit aka Assassin's Creed.
Try to mix and match the attacks
L33tzors finishers after stunning your enemy(either with a weapon or the Aaard sign)

Yeah, I really don't understand the rationale behind that part at the start and forcing the whole "sleeping" with Triss. Seems like railroading but several pages back someone stated that it will be explained going forward.

I think only the Prologue was made slightly easier, the tutorials OSD stays longer but believe me, you still do not want to play recklessly, button-mashing and thinking Geralt is superman and can take a whole bunch of foes unprepared and at one charge! Plus, Insane diff is still Insane diff and I just love it soooo much! The game gains a whole new perspective when I'm at it! And the Punishment is stiff for supid deaths!
