I've had to switch the game off at the end of Act 1 cos I can't decide between Roche and Iorveth. I hate when games do this to me (when I say 'hate', I mean 'love' of course).
Roche saved my skin by helping me out of prison and seems like a generally decent guy and of course there's Ves <3, but humans are pretty nasty in this game. Iorveth seems like a wanker and has tried to kill me twice now, and Malena had me ambushed, and the Squirrels can be vicious mofus - but I feel bad for the non-humans, and elves are just too cool for school, and Iorveth is kind of sexy with his eye-patch and all, and Zoltan's my buddy, and I'm playing my Scoia'tael import ...
I am so far on the fence at the moment that the spikes are starting to chafe a little. I will be playing the game a second time, but probably not for ages - I like to have a fairly long cooldown period after a first playthrough. Please, please help, in a way that doesn't involve loads of spoilers.
@Monica. No, you aren't alone. Geralt is magnificently sexy. If he had to spend the entire game semi-naked, I'd be okay with that.
Doesn't involve spoilers... hmmm.. Welll.. crap
Well, minor spoilers are okay, just nothing game-ending. Which, in your view, is the more fun path? Which is the more righteous? Is Iorveth really that much of a wanker, or does he turn out not too bad?
Also, I like your sexy eye-patch man avatar.
@Slimgrin - Nooooooo, you're so mean!
Said eyepatch man is Iorveth.
Personally I enjoyed Ioverth's path because I haven't done a full Roche playthrough yet. However from what I gathe, here's my personal breakdown of the two:
Ioverth: Strong values, Ruthless, Philosopher, Shepard (for his people)
Roche: Headstrong (Hothead), Cunning, Determined, Loyal
And of course, both have a fair amount of sarcastic humor, just like Geralt!
