I don't want to play after 4 playthrough i think that's enough.
Thing is I'm at the end of chapter two. The Blood Curse, I keep getting stopped from moving further from beyhond thst stage. She says "Curse you Henselt, By the power of fire" and I kill the rifts. I'm dying to move beyhond that but I can't.

just turn back to your older save.
What do you want me to do different?
This is what happended to recap. I have windows vista, 32 bit with a 5800 graphics video card. I bought the game first off a box copy the company rejected the code. I then went for the Steam one, and it wouldn't patch. I unstall-ed it several times.
Now I finally got the patch downloaded and updated from gog. I thats the third copy i bought. How far shold I go back and what should I do different.

That usually fixes the problem.
If not, go to gog.com and alert the developers.

Finished the game. Wow, that was a great gaming experience. From my Steam time counter my first play through took me 79 hours. Not bad, I was expecting more time with the game, but it was certainly good quality time gaming.
79 hours? You must have been grinding

79 hours? You must have been grinding35-45 seems about right, for me. I'm on my third playthrough-- I'm maxing out each branch through each playthrough. After this one it goes back on the shelf until just before TW3 comes out.
Well I took around the same time as Eldareus >.>

Josh, sometimes the game gets stuck in an area. Load up an earlier save (not the latest one) and play up to your current save point again.

I'm not quite sure you fulley understand. I have played the game on (three seperate play throughs) all on different systems. First the disc, then on steam, now on gog and I ALWAYS get stuck on the same point. Right when they are doing the ritual and she says "Curse You Henselt"
Three rifts come and attack, followed by three more. How long is this supposed to last?

Roche is a cool character, but his path is too political for my taste. Iorveth is an ass, but overall his path is much more engaging and dramatic... and the ending possibly much more satisfying.AllThatJazz wrote...

Allthatjazz. Just roll with it. That's how the game is meant to be played. Some consequences will make you wince. TW1 shocked me a couple times...poor Toruviel.![]()
TW1 fans know what I mean. That game socked me in the gut more than once.
Just did. Cedric. The squirrels had better be worth it.

Me too!
And everybody should try and complete an Insane run before retiring the game to the shelves. It's a whole new experience... as long as you don't die! =)

I think there are several waves, never had a problem with that part.

I admire you for doing so, but no insanity runs for me. The game is too hard.

To say this in a different way: You took more than twice as long as me, to do the same thing as me, when I thought I was being slow. How the hell?

79 hours? I really have no idea how it could have taken you that long. I did every single thing, got lost a few times, and sometimes would leave the game running in the background as I alt tab and went to the bathroom or made a sandwich or something else and I got about 38 hours logged on steam.

Did you revisited every area, cave, swamp, nest, mine during the day and at night... as a professional witcher should to make sure the job was really done? hehehe (or just to farm some xp and perhaps find a better mutagen now that drops are so rare on harder diffs). What difficulty you played? As with most games, harder difficulties takes more time as combat alone needs more guerrilla tactics, recovery, crafting and brewing, studying the terrain and trapping it, etc.

Eventually, it will become too easy. Or you may think you've played it enough and it's time to play something else. Give it a try then. I am no masoquist. And I doubt others who have gone through it are. But surviving the challange is like scoring a goal in a WC final, or just like that Donovan's goal in the recent WC. It's an amazing feeling!
Just remember this when you try it:. never let your pets distract you!

I played on normal, and I'm 100% certain I went over every nook and cranny and only missed the conclusion to maybe 1-2 sidequests.
