Hey does anyone now how to get the Hung over quest? I never did it in my first two playthroughs

Progress a bit into the First Act. I think only at night can you initiate the quest. Knife throwing was fun. CDProjekt should so make that into a new minigame.

And explore the buildings near the Inn in Flotsam. Can be triggered at day time and early in Act 1 too.

That's like drunken darts in an English pub. Darts end up in people!

Go to where Roche's unit hangs out (it's in a building next to the Tavern/Brothel in Flotsam, the one w/ stairs leading to a door on the 2nd floor) at night, I think, and just talk to the men.

I think knife throwing needs a bit more refinement before they make it a mini game but it could be fun.

I want to see Yennefer in a future game... What happened to her, anyways? The game said that she went insane and ran away...

I wonder if she'll be a boss character of some sort in The Witcher 3...

I have a bone to pick with CDPR. After just trying Deus Ex: HR, and seeing the obvious care that went into a UI that's clearly made for PC, this list inventory bullsh*t in TW2 has got to go. There is simply no excuse for it. They only did this so they could port it straight over to consoles, and I'm sorry but it really pisses me off when their first game has a UI that puts this one to shame. It was made for a gamepad, not a mouse...what happend to the whole pc exclusive bit!?

As soon as the forums are up I'm raising hell about this, and I think the more people that say something the better. I really appreciate CDPR, but they shouldn't get a pass on this.

They never claimed that the game was to remain a PC exclusive forever.

I am a PC gamer, and while I found the UI to be mildly annoying, the fact that the game itself was excellent allows me to believe that they should be given a pass. Other companies have created far worse UIs.

The end of true PC exclusives is over. So long as the game plays relatively well, and remains engaging (which The Witcher 2 has done), I don't care about minor quirks like the UI.

They have created a game that is leaps and bounds ahead of what BioWare has made recently, so who cares about minor UI quirks? So long as their games keep coming to the PC in their current form, I will continue buying them Day One.

This sense of entitlement from some gamers is disconcerting. Yes, it is a problem, but not to be necessarily angry over. They never promised you a "PC exclusive." They just promised you a good game, and they delivered on that.

Yeah, What Quadruple X 55 said.

I gave the UI a pass, it wasnt the best, still could find what I want and it wasnt a black screen like DA2's.

They never made it a secret. Develop the technology for PC, downscale it to consoles. Seeing as PCs allows the use of gamepads, CDPR felt that the UI and control scheme would be better off if they didn't have to completely re adapt it later on.

I don't care about a PC exclusive type game or anything, I want console players to enjoy the same games I enjoy. I just want games to fully utilise the hardware advantages of the PC for a better game experience overall, something that the Witcher 2 does.

That's good enough for me.

No, they promised a game designed for pc. They said time and again,"we're a one project at a time company, and we only focus on the pc version now" Sorry, but that's bullocks. When you get a UI designed almost exclusively for a gamepad and thus takes forever to navigate. I personally feel a bit misled by them, and now we all have to wait for mods to fix what they should have done in the first place.

Whatever. Start a CDP boycott or something. The game itself is still leaps and bounds ahead of what the competition has under its belt.

PC exclusive? They have stated their desires to bring The Witcher over to the consoles ever since the first game came out. That venture failed, so the reason why the console-centric UI was created was to allow the development team to ease into console development once the PC version was complete.

As for mods, there are quite a number of those already. I daresay such a mod is probably already under the works.

Am I the only one who didn't notice anything wrong with the inventory UI?

Probably not. It scarcely bothered me. There are certainly a few PC gamers with very discerning eyes, however.

Inventory UI was a bit annoying, but hardly game breaking.

I truly hate what the console market has done to the industry. I just want parity for both platforms, but instead I have to constantly put up with sloppy seconds from the goddamn XBOX.

I honestly don't see what the big deal is with everyone complaining about it.

This time with TW2, the xbox360 is getting PC sloppy seconds. Along with a mushroom head to the forehead

Go look up on how TW1's UI / inventory looked like, or even NWN1's and you'll understand

Play more indie games. Those studios haven't gone to the dogs yet.

Face it, video game development is an expensive endeavor these days, so MBAs from Harvard in their fancy suits have a lot of decision-making power.

Commercialism in video gaming isn't exactly a new thing. If you hate how corporations are taking over, then might I recommend gardening as an alternative hobby instead?
