I have a bone to pick with CDPR. After just trying Deus Ex: HR, and seeing the obvious care that went into a UI that's clearly made for PC, this list inventory bullsh*t in TW2 has got to go. There is simply no excuse for it. They only did this so they could port it straight over to consoles, and I'm sorry but it really pisses me off when their first game has a UI that puts this one to shame. It was made for a gamepad, not a mouse...what happend to the whole pc exclusive bit!?
As soon as the forums are up I'm raising hell about this, and I think the more people that say something the better. I really appreciate CDPR, but they shouldn't get a pass on this.
They never claimed that the game was to remain a PC exclusive forever.
I am a PC gamer, and while I found the UI to be mildly annoying, the fact that the game itself was excellent allows me to believe that they should be given a pass. Other companies have created far worse UIs.
The end of true PC exclusives is over. So long as the game plays relatively well, and remains engaging (which The Witcher 2 has done), I don't care about minor quirks like the UI.
They have created a game that is leaps and bounds ahead of what BioWare has made recently, so who cares about minor UI quirks? So long as their games keep coming to the PC in their current form, I will continue buying them Day One.
This sense of entitlement from some gamers is disconcerting. Yes, it is a problem, but not to be necessarily angry over. They never promised you a "PC exclusive." They just promised you a good game, and they delivered on that.
