Am I the only one who didn't notice anything wrong with the inventory UI?

You must be joking?

I honestly don't see what the big deal is with everyone complaining about it.

Go look up on how TW1's UI / inventory looked like, or even NWN1's and you'll understand

No, they promised a game designed for pc. They said time and again,"we're a one project at a time company, and we only focus on the pc version now" Sorry, but that's bullocks. When you get a UI designed almost exclusively for a gamepad and thus takes forever to navigate. I personally feel a bit misled by them, and now we all have to wait for mods to fix what they should have done in the first place.

I agree that they should have developed two separate UIs-- one the for the PC and one for the consoles-- and it is a minus that they didn't bother to do something that's so easily implemented (considering they already had the code/framework in TW1) which would have netted them even more gamer adoration.

On the whole, though, it's a minor detraction from an otherwise solid title. So, no need to berate them for something so small. I'm fairly certain that they've already received (possibly tens of) thousands of complaints on the topic.

I'll settle for a quick slot for oils. The rest does not bother me, specially now with the mod to sort junk and everything that you linked earlier.

You really want to know? If you do the investigation properly it answers some questions regarding this, had to do a trial and error myself.

In the end he did not seem to matter much, at least for now.

Spoiler

But he did have he's hand in the poisoning, I let the peasants have their way with him.

That's pre-EE inventory, making an extra inventory just for the alchemy stuff made life a LOT more easier.

As soon as the forums are up I'm raising hell about this, and I think the more people that say something the better. I really appreciate CDPR, but they shouldn't get a pass on this.

Don't forget the Power Wheel. It breaks the flow of combat so much, thank god for hotkeys though.

I liked it too. Especially since it only slowed down combat, instead of pausing it altogether. I thought it forced me to be more decisive than I would normally be with a full pause function.

I did. Oh man did I ever. Having played RPGs for going on 20 years now, I'm a hopeless collector. If it can be picked up, it's going to my inventory. I can't help it--completely OCD about looting in RPGs. It's awful. <_<

The hotkeys still don't work right for me either. The only way to make certain a command works is to pull up the stupid radial menu, and slot the bomb/sign.

I never used the power wheel in combat, but I do like the design for it when I go mediate lol.

As for the inventory UI, TW1's is better yes but this one doens't bother me, as much. The only real gripe I have is the damn formulas taking up my space, but other than that, categories are nice, but I wish it show me everything I have equipped on like in TW1.

Anyways, I just installed Patch 1.2, ****in' love it. Restarting my Roche playthrough, made it back to Flotsam. I can finally run the game on high (with a bit of customization) settings, and me hitting multiple targets is a nice touch. I will soon visit said hair stylist and check out the new hair styles for Geralt and see if they surpass the current pony-tail Geralt. Plus I really do want to see Geralt's old hair style from TW1 implemented in TW2.

Really? I guess it's a preference thing.

Since my signs are all linked to to numbers, I jsut rapid press 3 to switch through all of them and get the right sign then use Q to cast it. 1 and 2 are for weapon swicthing. 4 is basically the same thing as 3 but with items. E is parry of course. And R is to use the selected item I have (which is usually a bomb of some sort).

Awww ****, I need to check that out in-game myself. The TW1 hair style looks, well I wouldn't say awkward, but different.

Back to an old subject in this thread.

Ves was indeed lying. Yes she doesn't state it outright but I got the feeling the cinematic we saw was supposed to be what she told Roche and Geralt after, but what really proves that she was lying was one of her next statements.

Roche: I want blood.
Ves: So do I! You can't believe how much. I can still smell that swine on me.

The last few words do mean that she was indeed telling she was raped and that she indeed lied ( and I DOUBT Dethmold would just allow her to walk away anyway ).

I thought she had willingly offered herself to Henselt to save her colleagues, and after everyone was hanged anyway, felt too ashamed to tell the truth.

Understandable, and not really something to hold against her.

I hate, though, how she disappears from the game after that. Maybe she'll reappear in an expansion?

So Henselt's sense of honor meant that after she gave herself to him he spared her?

Henselt you bloody fool....though I suppose it makes perfect sense.

Just dropping by to say that Patch 1.02 is fantastic. Even better performance on my oldtimer lappy + NICE fixes & I love the new DLC, heh.

Once I've finished my current DAII runthrough (Patch 1.03 is fantastic), it's time for another TW2 playthrough.
