The only issue I had with the Witcher 2 was making money much of the money to be made from hack n slash quest. But my god! do you see how beautiful make the woman in witcher 2! I know they are just pixtel bodys but they are right in all the right places, I might dump my irl girlfriend for a pixel. Can't wait for witcher 3.

I've noticed two body textures so far that are sloppy. The

[Spoiler Alert!]

killer of the troll's wife-- his tattoos may as well be half-washed ink stains, as blurry as they are-- and Ves as she is in Loredo's estate-- again, because her tattoos are blurry but also because you can see the lack of effort put into connecting her arms to her torso properly.

[End of spoilers]

Also, many of the fabric textures are pixellated.

Hopefully modders can improve their resolution/fidelity in the future. As it is, it removes a .5 from the game's overall score for me.

hmm interesting. I don't remember her tattoos being blurry when my Geralt had sex with her. I'm gonna have to be on the lookout for it next time.Guess it gives me an excuse to sleep with her again :innocent:.

AWESOME review! Thx for the link. Angry Joe is so funny and he always hits the point but what I dont understand why he says that Witcher 2 is SO much better then DA2 but just gives it a 8 out of 10... And some of the of his critic points has been fixed with patch 1.2.

Nice review, only on Yahtzee's reviews I laugh like that. Anyways, I agree that some of his points have been addressed that he thought TW2 did poorly on.

His point about blocking tells me what kind of player he is...

Seriously you can't figure out blocking requires vigor?

Anyway....finished it on a proper Insane run this time.

Madman achievement!

Insanely cool bro! Gratz! You plough'ed them all. :wizard:

(uhh.. does that Steam thing work with GoG's version? heh More than the achievement itself I'd love to clock my games and see how long they really are. Well, perhaps not more, but as much as!)

NP. Care to share some Witcher's Secrets? Which path did you take and more importantly, which approach?

I ask because lots of posts at World of Gothic, from both G1 and G2 Hardcore players, say that sometimes it is better to make it as quick a run as possible. I.E., not many sidequests, brewing and crafting. The goal is to reach the end of the game alive and some of those players developed strategies to do it fast so they don't spend loads of time and are suddenly interrupted.

I myself tend to go the other way, doing everything as slow as possible, even if an interruption by death causes more pain. I can't bring myself to rush through the game, missing sidequests and stuff, no matter the price! heh

The higher the level you are...the better it is.

Not that any fight is easier, oh no. Take your time and do everything.

While TW2 lifted me high ME3 brought me back to the ground.
I live in Europe so seriously, 116$ for a digital delux edition with some weapon and companion DLC...

The ME3 CE edition is very disappointing. Especially since there was a huge forum thread asking about possible Uber Edition.

Seems to me an alchemist build might be most effective. An alchemist can make potions that render one invulnerable to all damage & drink potion (Thunderbolt) that let one do massive damage.

There's also Dagger throwing that makes every boss fight a breeze & bomb throwing that make all mobs very easy.

An Alchemy tree I found completely useless on Insane. Swordsmanship is really the way to go ( with Improved Quen from magic and +2 Vigor ).

Finding a strategy for Insane is not done by looking at numbers, yes they do count quite a lot, but so do reflexes. Magic and Swordsmanship give a player a hell lot more breathing space while your alchemy would be completely useless in the Draug fight. ( for instance ).

Grats on your insane run!

It's a shame that the Alchemy tree is not desirable on any level of difficulty. I hardly used bombs and never need to use traps. I did use Potions but not enough to warrent any investmests in points.
