Seriously you can't figure out blocking requires vigor?
Anyway....finished it on a proper Insane run this time.
Madman achievement!
Good stuff man. Is the difference between hard and insane only the 1 death aspect or are there other things as well? The manual is not very clear on that. I'm going to have to try it.
As an aside about alchemy which someone else mentioned, I think it is worth dipping into just for the first talent that improves traps and bombs. The manual states it gives +30/+20% damage upgraded but it is actually +100/100%. You have the ingrediants to make pretty much as many bombs as you want and they don't cost vigor to use. They make a lot of the fights against multiple opponents quite a bit easier.

Oh, erynnar is always about the BOOM! She likes blowing things up I bet!
And thats a good point, the first part with bombs and traps is quite handy.

The phrase a "drunk erynnar" is about as redundant as the phrase "ATM Machine".

Assuming you're still in Flotsam, you ought to play through the Hang Over quest Ery, you'd love that.

what do you guys think of the dragon fight? Not sure I like it. Not as well as the other boss fights.

Game description says it is harder than Hard. And drops are way more scarce, specially now with the reduced rates of patch 1.2. I love Bombs even without any upgrades. Freeze and Burn can tip the battle against multiple enemies to our side a lot faster.
Although I only played Swordsman, because I really love it way above any other specialization, I'll try a mix of Sword/Alchemy when I finish this run, if I finish this run! Oh well, it will end just the same either I beat the game or die trying! =)

Not as good at the Kayran one, it was challenging for me at first once on top of that tower. After like 3 deaths I got the hang of it and it was really easy. But one thing it didn't fail at was presentation, which I think was the purpose of the fight as it was nearing end game.

For a final boss fight, it was sure welcomingly difficult, but it was also rather weak. It felt like filler.

I like all the other boss encounters, but that one seemed to have no logic to it. the Kayren fight, and Draug did. I am quite impressed with how the story develops near the end though.
Well, the Dragon became a pet of that bitc.. erm.. witch! Attacking Gerald as commanded seems ok. What I really want to see is the outcome of our decision about the Dragon after the battle! DLC, Expansion or TW3 now!!!! =)))

I would have liked to see a bit more political jockying and infighting-- royals bickering is always fun in a you-people-are-so-ridiculous-aren't-you way-- before the fan was soiled. There should have been some more building up to it.
I thought the lead-up was mishandled but that the final fight itself was decent enough.
