Yahtzee noted things I complained about. The game needs to be more user-friendly.

Other than the intro tutorials, no it doesnt.

Check this out. Interview ( pre E3 mind you ) on a Romanian site with the senior designer.

Nice one, deserves a repost from being the last on the previous thread, might go unnoticed.

Yeah I was walking around Vergen when I rounded the corner and there was Iorveth (I was just coming back from the forest behind Vergen I think), and I decided to strike up a convo...camera moves in close and I'm like OMGWTFBBQ!!!

Pull your bandanna back down man. I'm guessing he needs to air it out a little but damn. That wasn't a blade wound, looks like he got hit in the face with a Morningstar, and that entire side of his face got crushed in.

At least he isn't just some pretty boy elf like the usual fantasy stock. Every part of his design just shows how long he's been fighting. It's no wonder he's looking for a chance at peace.

Also <spoilers>, I finally did Iorveth's path where I don't find the cure for Saskia. You find Iorveth pretty much owned, and Triss teleports him back to Vergen. If you loot around him you'll find the Dagger that cures Saskia. So does that mean in that particular ending I still have a chance to save Saskia post-game?

I ask because I prefer saving Triss, killing the Nilfgaardians, and saving most of the mages. Strange how DA2 and TW2 end so similarly. With the Mages being blamed for something only a few did, only difference is that here not all mages are ****s, and I can actually save them. Except the ones that the Flaming Rose raped...but hey this is Dark Fantasy...those two sorceresses were honestly a statistic.

I lost my respect for him. He always made fair points on games, harsh but fair. Here it just seems to me he was just reading the review from escapist with a few more harsh words added.

He spends one bloody minute flaming PC gamers, **** that.

He has a different opinion than me! That means I suddenly no longer like him! Because, you know, I can't possible be seen with someone that doesn't share my opinions!

I can post a screenie. It is pretty ugly. But he's Iorveth, so it's kinda cool too.

So 2nd playthrough, just finished Act on Roche path. I daresay it's quite satisfying at the end, giving the child to Seherim makes me feel I tied up all lose ends (plus killing Loredo).

Now I'm at the military camp. Damn this is a big difference than in Vergen on Iorverth's path. Concerning I finished one playthrough already, I dislike Sile. Henselt strikes me as an arrogant but ignorant douche. And Dethmold is a crazed madman on fisstech. I'm glad I have Roche here atleast.

It's like Saul Tigh without the eyepatch after the Cylons raped his eye out! And he was a fraking Cylon!

Post away! I am done with dinner. I rolled dice because I couldn't decide who to side with on my first play through (pathetic I know). So I am siding with Roche. I feel so guilty. LOL!

I'm just kidding! Was just playing that mission on SC2 and I couldn't resist it.

I love that mission so very much. I build up my defenses and let them infest all colonies and I get that message like a zillion times from the Adjudant, all in Brutal diff which makes the waves with those level 5 bio-signature creatures, huge! Haven's Fall misson is one of the best in Starcraft!

This.

Sounds like the reviewer was looking for an awesome button that he didn't have the attention span to read the manual to find, or alternately, a small child with average IQ to play the game for him.

It was a game that had, egads, rules.  Wasn't mindless.  Couldn't be played on autopilot while you daydream about what your life could have been like had you only not paid that 45$.....

Ah well.  Had it not seemed so attention seeking, I may have actually said he had a point, several times. As it was, the intensity of his melodramatic criticism didn't match the "crime" which only left him looking as a sensationalist in which case, I will pass on considering it a real *serious* review.  Entertaining sure, but certainly not one to take without a grain of salt, as the saying goes.

We all have bad days of course. ;)

Yahtzee is a putz and rarely has anything meaningful to say. I think its because he can't handle the awesomeness of PC gaming. :P

He is still sexy to me (voice helps a lot), it just makes me feel sorrier for him. Ouchies, I wonder what did that, and who?  And can I kill them?

You said it.  As a raging Iorveth fangirl I am careful to keep quiet most of the time =)   Still, you want a slaughter partner, I am game.  :P

In seriousness:  you know, I was impressed HOW they showed it. It wasn't part of some big dramatic reveal made to gross you out or alternately pity him, he was just hanging out against a wall and bam, I noticed he had the patch lifted.  Somehow that made it *more* of a surprise because it didn't seem formulated for effect.

Ah yes because spending one minute flaming PC gamers then going on a tirade about how **** the game is because he can't handle the combat is something one should respect in a reviewer.

Right.

Iorveth deserve his other eye to be also gauged out for all the things he did.

You completely missed his point. He was saying the PC/Console argument is stupid. It's not the first time he's said it, either.

I'm joking about the PC awesome bit. I've got my complaints of the game so I'm no wheedling fanboy. I've just never thought Yahtzee offers thoughtful criticism. It's a shtick he has, a comic one, but I don't take it seriously.

If by saying the argument is **** you refer to him bashing PC exclusives time and again, then ye sure.
