I want them to fix up the inventory and bugs first. Fixes have all but stopped popping up over at Nexus, so I think we've gotten most of what we'll get from mods.

@Cyberfrog- I rarely use Axxi myself given the time it takes, but my third run on hard will be a mage build and I'll toy with it then. I like Aard, just as I did in the first game, and timing a combo right with Aard or Ignii does some pretty wicked damage and is a fun way to fight for me.

No offense to Teogoff, but watching him tackle the prologue is hilarious. He gets his ass handed to him, like many did, simply for charging in and swinging.

Teogoff plays it up a bit, and he used zero tactics against Letho...I mean none. Even I wasn't that brazen, but I suppose he's got to keep us entertained, and I agreed with his score.

I ended the game exactly the same with a big sigh of contentment and a thirst for more, damn good review.

Loc Muinne just has so much potential though, I still hunger to learn what's in that tower with the big eye sigil upon it.

Toegoff is THE MAN. The whole point of his LPs is watching him fail until he gets it right.

Everybody who have at some time quit a game should watch his fight against Ser Cauthrien in Dragon Age Origins.

Zero tacticts and completely blind, he pulled that through... By sheer force of will. :wizard:

I don't get why Toegoff is epic? Because he dies so much while playing on normal? huh how is that EPIC? If it was Nightmare then ye sure it would have been nice.

Sigh...I guess I am just frustrated he get's so many viewers despite the fact: he can be really bad at gameplay, has shallow reasons for his choices and the quality of his videos wasn't/isn't really good.
Given that I also do Let's Plays....well what can I say.

Who knows. I'm playing something else till it's released. I can't fully enjoy the combat with the bugs.

He is EPIC because he is FUN. I watch him for his commentary, not his skills...

BTW, he changed mid-game to HARD difficulty. :-)

Yeah, Toegoff is great. Only LPer so far that I can stand listening to at length.

It isn't about skills, but about an entertaining lack of vision (he plays every game blind). Even so, on Hard he beat Draug on his first try (I think). Sounded like he was crapping his pants most of the time, but still.

I personally don't find LPs that appealing or entertaining, I'd much rather play myself. But his review was good, I thought.

Hey, so, I bought this game yesterday on the Steam sale, and I'm having some troubles importing my Witcher 1 save. Also, I cannot find the official forums, if they indeed exist, so I am coming here for support.

In between playing the Witcher 1 and now I wiped my HD, but I made external copies of a bunch of stuff I cared about, including my Witcher 1 saved games. The problem is, unlike say, ME2, TW2 isn't asking me where my old saved games are for import (on my desktop atm), instead it just seems to be scanning for them, and not finding them.

So, my question is does anyone know where TW2 looks for TW1 saves, or could you point me in the direction of the official TW2 forums

There are no official forums yet (still in the making). Though the devs do check the GoG forums at least.

I think it looks for saves in My Documents/ The Witcher / Saves

I've been finally able to play Witcher 2 on maxed out settings and Saint Gertrude help me ! It was amazing ! Alienware desktop really makes a difference. I've played on a laptop before, a decent machine, but nothing spectacular - I could forget about SSAO, AA, Motion Blur and all the other goodies. This time everything was turned on - even dreaded Ubersampling and... well, you can possibly imagine the rest.

Checked Crysis 2 with Directx 11 as well - if you can max it out you are in for a treat. Who knows how would have Witcher 2 looked like if the CDPR could implement the new Direct.

Well I just watched an old dev diary of TW2 and something annoyed me.

"Nilfgaard. Totalitarianism. We wanted people to think of the Third Reich. Empire of evil".

Really? I PRAY that this is just marketing bs. I love TW2 so much because it precisely doesn't have crap like this (and what we see of Nilfgaard in TW2, primarily via Shilard, never gave that impression). I was first worried about the Wild Hunt, but if TW3 is all about villainizing Nilfgaard, I'll be disappointed. More than disappointed, I'll be pissed off.

Please someone (Luxorek!) tell me that Nilfgaard is not actually portrayed / designed to be that way in the books.

I remember that dev diary. If that's their inspiration for Nilgaard, we have yet to see the totality of it in TW2. It was hinted at, perhaps.

I understood Nilfgaard as just another player in the political/power rat race, with their own agenda. classic Witcher morality.

People of the North certainly saw Nilfgaard in very negative light for obvious reasons. I wish that the line read like: "Nordlings see Nilfgaard as the empire of evil". And we do see people, especially some Kaedwenis, react that way to them. But the way this sentence is said annoys and worries me.

That's how I saw Nilfgaard as well. The continental superpower out for its own interests like everyone else, which seemingly for now is imperialistic in nature.
